**Ziggy.**

"Are you sure you're okay?" I looked to Rocky as we walked towards the parking lot.
My heart was still racing from earlier, but I managed a nod in response.
"I'm fine." I told him, wanting to reassure the other.
Rocky looked to me before frowning softly.
"Why were you at the library?" He asked.
I blinked before my face grew warm.
"O-Oh.. I've never been yet, and I wanted to see what kind of books there were." I lied as I rubbed the side of my neck.
Rocky made a face before we made it outside and were making our way to the parking lot.

When my eyes found Kaiser, I felt shy but also excited when his eyes saw me.

I walked up to the other before my face grew red when Kaiser reached for my wrist, he took it before pulling me into him and he was embracing me.
His lips were on mine and my heart felt like it was going to bust right out of my chest.

"Hi." Kaiser greeted me with a grin.
I blushed but smiled softly at him.
"Hi." I greeted the other.

"How is your day going?" He asked me as I rubbed my upper arm frowning softly now.
"It's.. It's going okay." I told the other.
Kaiser frowned softly.
"Just okay?"

Rocky looked to me then to the others.
"Ziggy met Devi." He said.

Kaiser frowned deeply in Stetson's direction.
"I thought I asked-"
"We don't have every class with him, Kai, and as far as I knew? The kid didn't have any classes with that bastard." Stetson told the other.

Kaiser looked at me as he frowned softly.
"Where were you that would have made the two of you see each other?" He questioned.
I blinked before blushing.
"Oh.. I was in the library during study hall." I said.

"What a nerd." Jackie teased as Devin glared at the other.
"You read comic books, I really don't think you're in any place to be calling anyone a nerd." He told the other.

"Ziggy." 
I flinched before looking back at Kaiser now.
"Why were you in the library?" He asked me.
I stood there before looking away.
"Hey."
I felt Kaiser's hand cup the side of my face to make me look at the other.
There was this kindness in the others eyes as he looked at me, more curious than anything. 
"No one here is going to judge you on what you're reading." He told me.

"We're not?" Stetson teased as Kaiser glared softly at the other.
"No, we are not." He told him.

I was scared.
I felt the tears burning as I placed my hand on the side of my neck.

"Was it porn?" Jackie bluntly asked before wincing when Devin smacked the other.
"Are you an idiot? What school would allow porn in the library?" He asked him.

Stetson looked at the two.
"I mean, we make porn happen in the-"
"Don't tell them that." Rocky hissed at the other with wide eyes.
Stetson blinked before grinning deviously.

"It.. It wasn't that." I said with my face burning.
I looked at Kaiser with knitted brows.
"It.. was about vampires." I told them.

"Vampires?" Kaiser frowned softly looking at me.
"Why on earth would you want to read about them?" He asked.
My cheeks darkened as I stood there, obviously embarrassed.
"I.. was exposed to something the other day, and it made me want to read about them." I said now.

"When you say you were exposed, what do you mean by that?" I frowned softly at Dorian whose arms were crossed.

"I mean.. the first night I was attacked, I-I thought it was a cat that may have managed its way inside my aunt's house, but.. the night everyone left the hospital, I.." My brows knitted as the tears returned, but my body stiffened when I felt Kaiser's hand squeezing mine.
"Take it slow." He told me.
My face was warm before I inhaled.
"I was attacked a second time, both times, my neck was bit.. I was too scared to say anything when everyone saw my neck that day, but based on how you reacted.. something told me, all of you knew what the marks were from." I squeezed my eyes shut now.

"Ziggy-"
"I-I know how crazy I sound, but please tell me I'm not." I cried looking at Kaiser now.
"Please tell me it's not just all in my head, tell me I'm not over thinking this.." The tears slipped as Kaiser pulled me into him, holding me tight which only made me cry harder.

Stetson looked to Kaiser.
"We'll go on ahead and let the two of you talk." He told him as Kaiser nodded, he ran his hands through my hair in a way to comfort me.
But it only made me tired.

"Ziggy, how would you take it if I confirmed that you weren't crazy? That vampires actually existed ?" Kaiser's tone was soft and gentle, he was careful not to scare me.
Even though it did scare me.
My brows knitted painfully as I pressed my face into his chest, I could only shrug.

"Would you run away?"
The question didn't scare me, but his tone made me sad.
It was enough to make me look at him, and his expression matched that tone.
Kaiser looked sad when he asked me that.
I frowned at the other.
"I.." Tears burned my eyes.

"Why do I feel like, if I say yes, you'll be the first one to disappear?" I asked out loud, it was enough to make the tears fall as I stood there.
Kaiser frowned softly at me.
"Don't cry." He told me, brushing my tears away as I looked at him.
"I..I don't want you to leave, Kaiser, I'm scared yeah... but, are you confirming that vampires do exist?" I questioned.

Kaiser frowned softly at me.
"I am."
My blood was cold as ice.
Tears reformed in my eyes.
"Are.. are you one?" I asked him.
There was silence.
Kaiser stood there, he frowned softly as he backed up but I did the unthinkable and stepped forward.
His eyes slightly widened.

"Ziggy-"
"I.. I won't run away, I just want to know." I told him.
Kaiser's brows knitted before he sighed softly.
"Yes, I'm one of them." He answered.
The tears fell as I stood there looking at him.
I knew I wanted him to tell me.
But I wished he would have lied.

I couldn't breathe as I stood there.
Vampires existed.
The one I was dating, was a vampire.
Did Rocky and the others know?
Or.
Were they also vampires?

"I'm such an idiot." I cried as Kaiser frowned at me.
"No-"
"I am! I was wanting to keep my questions to myself, because I wanted to keep everyone safe.. I-I wanted to look strong for once, but.." More tears fell as I stood there.
"This whole time, I was making a fool out of myself-"
"Ziggy-"

"Are you like Zeke?" I asked him as Kaiser's eyes grew wide.
"Will you mess with my mind like he does? Will you get angry and h-hurt me?" My hand cupped my neck.
Kaiser reached for me but I backed away.
"Ziggy, please-"
"I'm so SCARED!" I cried letting out a startled gasp when Kaiser finally reached and brought me into a deep embrace.

"L-Let go." I cried.
"No." Kaiser growled holding me tighter.
"I am still me, no matter what Ziggy. The person you met last week, the person who took you to Deans, the person who wants to be your first for everything? That is still me, nothing has changed. I would NEVER hurt you, I would never make you do anything you'd refuse to do, I'm not like the bad vampires, I'm good." He hugged me.
"I promise you I'm so good." He told me as my nails dug into the others skin, my body trembled standing there.

"You won't hurt me?"
"Never." Kaiser's hand cupped the back of my head.
"You are the first person I've wanted to cherish in this lifetime, I don't want to lose you, so please. Let me cherish you the way you deserve to be cherished, let me love you the way you deserve to be loved. Don't push me away. Let your sorrows be mine, let all of your pain, sadness and anger, be mine. That way you'll never have to feel lonely." He told me.

I pulled away as my brows knitted.
"You really know how to embarrass me with how you word things." I told him.
Kaiser blinked but he smiled softly.
"I'd rather embarrass you with how I word things, rather than not embarrass you at all." He responded, carefully lacing his fingers with mine.
I looked at our hands as I looked up at him.

"You-- no, our friends.. are they also-"
"Everyone except for the twins are also vampires, Rocky and Devin used to be, but unfortunate events happened to both and now they are like us, but like me? They are still themselves, no one is different, our hearts just no longer beat and we don't age like everyone else." He explained.
I leaned against him as my brows knitted.
"I see.."

"No one will think differently of you if you act off around any of us, when Jayce found out about us? He avoided school for an entire week, and when he finally returned, he was still scared for a while. But, everyone is different with how they respond to our secret, Rocky was weirdly excited and Devin was calm about it. Joshua was a mix of both scared and excited, but again, everyone is different." Kaiser told me.

I stood there frowning softly.
"I'll.. I'll try not to act off around you about this, it's a lot to take in at once, but.. I did ask." My face was warm as I looked away.

"Does that mean, Devi is-"
"Yes, that's why I want Stetson and the others to keep you safe, now that you know what you know? It's the safest option given the fact, Devi is merciless and cruel." Kaiser frowned softly as I looked at him.
"Has.. he killed-"
"Yes." Kaiser cupped the side of my face as my brows knitted.
"He can't be trusted, no matter what he says to you, it's all a lie Ziggy. Devi doesn't care about anyone but himself, he's hurt a lot of people." He told me.

I looked away.
"He sounds like Zeke."
"You mentioned this earlier when you were upset, you asked me if I would hurt you like how Zeke did, was that your way of telling me that Zeke was a vampire?" Kaiser asked me.
My face flushed red but I nodded.
Kaiser sighed softly.
"I know I'm only one person, Ziggy, but I promise to keep you safe from both of them." He told me.

I looked at Kaiser.
"What if they hurt you?"
Kaiser blinked but he smiled softly.
"I like the challenge of thinking either of them can hurt me, especially that pest from your old school, but I won't be alone." He brought me into a gentle embrace.
"I have friends who also have my back as well." He kissed my cheek, I pulled my neck back to look at the other.
Our eyes gently gazing into each others, before Kaiser carefully leaned in as his lips pressed to mine.
I was scared, but this time?
I kissed back.

"I trust you." I whispered as Kaiser's eyes slightly widened before he deepened the kiss, his fingers brushing through my hair as he pulled me further into him.
My heart was racing.

"Well, looks like the kid took it pretty okay in my eyes, but you two should get a room."

My face flushed red as Kaiser broke the kiss, he looked past me as I shyly turned around to find Rocky and the others back.

"Lunch is over with, and we had to come back to retrieve that one before you two turn that into a dangerous game that'll only get you more trouble." Stetson said with crossed arms.
Kaiser looked at the other.
"He'd be worth it." He shrugged as Stetson smirked.

Rocky approached me, frowning softly.
"Listen, Zigzag-"
"Kaiser told me everything." I told Rocky whose eyes widened.
"He.. did?"
I nodded looking at the other.
"Mhm.. and it might take me a little bit to get used to it, but I won't run." I told them, looking over my shoulder to Kaiser.
"I trust Kaiser, which means, I trust everyone else as well.. It's scary, but it's reality." I said.

Rocky's brows knitted.
"So you don't hate me?"
I blinked.
"Hate you..? You haven't done anything to make me hate you." I gave the other a weak smile which only made Rocky reach and hug me tightly.

"Well I hate how kind you are, I really REALLY want to swap Stetson in for you." He cried, hugging me.

"Yeah, that's not happening." Kaiser pulled me away from Rocky, his lips claiming mine as he looked at everyone else.

"Ziggy is mine." 

Maybe..
I could get used to this.
As scary as it was.
Having a boyfriend who was a vampire might not be a bad thing.

Right?
