**Ziggy.**

"You look like crap."
My eyes were on Rocky the next morning, he didn't care about school that much and wanted to be here with me at the hospital.
I rubbed my eyes.
"I didn't sleep well.." I responded, and I could feel it.

Despite knowing what I knew.
Zeke didn't kill me last night.
But.
Was it possible for vampires to even exist?
I thought they were folklore..

I flinched feeling a cold hand pressing against my forehead.
My eyes fell on Rocky who was frowning softly.
"You're warm, do you have a fever?" He asked me.
I shook my head.
"It might be from the heated blankets." I frowned softly as Rocky looked at me before his eyes fell to my neck.

"Did your wound reopen?" He questioned.
I felt my face growing warm.
"O-Oh.. yeah, the nurse hasn't been in to redress it yet." I told him.
"I can do it." Rocky offered as he grabbed the bandages.
My eyes were on the other.
"Thanks.."

Rocky blinked before smiling softly.
"Anything for you Zigzag, I think Kaiser will be here shortly." He told me.
I looked up at the other with slight wide eyes as Rocky smirked.
"Nailed it."
I blushed as Rocky grinned.
"You two are not even officially together yet, but you're all each other talks about. It's crazy." He finished bandaging my neck as I watched him.

"What.. what was it like, when you realized you liked Stetson?"
"Oh, we're talking about that asshole?" Rocky sighed, clearly annoyed but it made me smile softly, because it was obvious.
Rocky cared about the other.

"Hmm.. let's see, probably right around the time him and his lame friends arrived at Autumn Lake, that includes Kaiser by the way." Rocky told me with a soft grin.
I blinked but smiled softly.
"Stetson is a bit of a hard ass, not to mention, if he's pissed? He usually takes it out on me, BUT not in the way you're thinking." Rocky clarified as I stared.
"What do you mean then?" I questioned.

"Aw geeze." Rocky whined.
"When it comes to flirting? He's heavy at it, and he doesn't care who sees it if we're caught up in something." He explained.
I looked at the other, confused.
"So the strikes?"
"Warnings." Rocky rubbed the side of his neck.
"It's his way of dangerously flirting, he gives me three strikes, and if I hit the nail on the coffin with a third strike? We're usually somewhere private at that point, unless he's trying to humiliate me, then we're more public." He told me.

I looked at him then at my lap then back to him with my face warm.
"O-Oh."

Rocky was hiding his face.
"I never talk about this with the guys, mainly because Devin and Josh wouldn't let me live it down, and Jayce is almost as awkward as you are when it comes to being around your crush." He said.

I frowned softly.
"Jayce's crush is.. Dorian, right?"
Rocky looked at me before nodding.
"Yup, and I'm sure you know that Devin and Jackie are already a thing, but unlike Stetson. Dorian is a lot more tame with Jayce, especially when they're not even together yet, but Jayce has his reasons and Dorian respects that." He explained.

I nodded as I looked at the other.
"So.. what about Joshua? Does he like someone?" I questioned.
Rocky blinked before sighing softly.
"He sure does, but it just so happens that he likes the one person none of us can stand." He said.
My brows knitted.
"Who..?"
Rocky looked at me before frowning.
"Well, you'll meet him sooner or later at school, but the guy's name is Devi Silva." He told me.

"Devi.. Silva?"
Rocky nodded.
"He has a real nasty personality, I don't trust him whatsoever, but unfortunately Josh has a crush on that psycho." Rocky frowned deeply.
"I'd much rather him have a crush on someone else, like Kyrie, or maybe even August Sharp." He said.
I frowned at the other.
"Is he that bad?"
Rocky frowned softly.
"If it's coming from me? Yeah."

Our attention turned to the door as it opened.
My face grew warm seeing Kaiser walking in with Stetson, who was holding a bag.

"Good morning, how are you feeling?" Kaiser walked over to me, brushing my bangs back before his lips were kissing my forehead.
It made me blush.
"O-Oh.. better-"

"Now that you're here." Rocky teased as my face flushed red.
"R-Rocky." I hissed at the other who was grinning at me.

"That makes me happy, though." Kaiser smiled softly down at me as my brows knitted.
I quickly looked away but Kaiser carefully took my cheek and made me look at him.
"Are you happy?" He asked me.
I don't think my face can get any redder than this.
I nodded as Kaiser smiled, leaning in, his eyes met mine before his lips were gently pressing to mine.
"Good." 

"Right so, enough of that, we brought donuts." Stetson finally commented.

"I think your uncle said you would be getting discharged today." Kaiser told me as I sat up to eat my donut.
"Oh.. right." I wanted to feel happy about that.
But what happens if Zeke was being serious about coming to Autumn Lake?

"Are you joking right now?" My eyes were on Rocky, confused.
"Joking about what?" I questioned.

Rocky blinked.
"About this donut flavor." Rocky glared at Stetson.
"You know I hate cherry." He told the other.
Stetson stared before smirking as he leaned in.
"Funny, because I enjoyed taking-"

"Okay, no." Kaiser placed his hands over my ears before glaring at the two.
"No scarring Ziggy with your disgusting bedroom talk." He told the two.
Stetson grinned.
"You won't be thinking that once you deflower him." He teased.

My brows knitted.
"Deflower?" I looked up at Kaiser who now looked uncomfortable and soon enough.
I was a blushing mess.
Oh.
He meant THAT.

"So anyways, because I don't want my friend to melt into a blushing puddle. Are you nervous about moving in with Mr.Mitchell?" Rocky asked me.

I looked at the other.
"Oh, a little. I mean, I've met his husband's kids and they seem nice, but it's going to be a new house and family I'll be living with now." I said, nibbling on my donut.

"But, you'll be away from that toxic house and your cousins friends." Kaiser told me.
I looked at him.
I wanted to feel relieved, but.
I looked away and of course, Kaiser caught it.

"What's wrong?" He asked me.
My brows knitted as I sat my donut down.
I could feel the tears threatening to appear as I sat there.

"Zeke showed up last night." I said.
"What?" Kaiser frowned deeply at me.
"How?"
I shrugged as I looked down at my lap.
"He came by after I woke up, I told him he had no reason to see me now that I was moving out of my aunt's house, but he told me..." I felt the tear slip sitting there.
"That I was his entertainment, and that he would be coming to Autumn Lake, with Asher and Nathan.. because, that's where his entertainment was." I said.

The silence was loud.
And when I looked to Kaiser, I wanted to cry from fear.
Because his eyes were no longer that pretty blue, but a pitch black color.

"Kai." 
When I blinked to look at Stetson, I looked back to Kaiser and his eyes were blue again.
Was I seeing things?

"Alright, so we've got some assholes coming to our school, it's not like we don't know how to deal with them." Stetson shrugged.
Rocky looked at the other.
"That's true, but are you sure that guy wasn't trying to scare you?" He asked me now.

I looked at Rocky and I felt my hand gently rubbing my neck.
The guy came here.
He wanted to kill me, but chose to attack me instead.
Is what I wanted to tell him.
But I wanted to keep them safe.
I didn't know if revealing that Zeke was a vampire, would put some target on their back or not.
And that wasn't a risk I was willing to take.

"When Zeke says he's going to do something, he tends to follow through.." I frowned softly.

My eyes fell on Kaiser who stood up.
"Kaiser..?" I questioned.
Kaiser looked down at me.
"I just need some air, I won't be gone long." He told me.
My brows knitted.
"Did.. did I upset you just now?" I asked.
Kaiser blinked before he reached and I wanted to flinch.
But I stayed still as he cupped the back of my head, smiling softly at me.

"I've told you before, there's nothing you can do that would ever make me mad at you, I just need to walk for a minute." He told me.
My brows knitted.
"Oh.. okay." I looked away before my face grew warm feeling his lips meeting mine.

Kaiser stepped out of the room, before storming down the hall.
"Kaiser, wait!"
Glaring, he turned to Stetson who was storming after the other.

"Before you even try to do something stupid-"
"Something stupid? I'm going to kill him." Kaiser growled storming past the nurses with Stetson right on his heels.
"Kaiser, we don't know anything about this guy besides him being an mentally abusive bastard, towards Ziggy, but-"

Kaiser turned to Stetson.
"He's a fucking vampire, Stetson, it's no wonder why he's had Ziggy as a target. Ziggy is human, he attacked him TWICE!" Kaiser glared at the blond who glared back.

"Right, okay, that's fair. But Ziggy doesn't even know about us-"
"I want him to know."
"Wait, what?" Stetson's brows furrowed.
"We don't know how he'll react, fuck, it took Dorian's little crush to come around almost a MONTH after knowing, and that's not including after he found out I basically killed, Rocky." He said.

Kaiser paused before he turned to Stetson.
"You didn't mean for that to happen-"
"Right no, of course not, you don't just kill out of boredom or because your mate was OBSESSED with our fucking kind." Stetson glared at Kaiser who glared back.
"At least he doesn't hate you." He said before taking a seat on the bench outside of the hospital.

"I don't know how Ziggy will react, I know I want him to know.. and I can't say he's handling the fact we exist, well, because I don't like reading his mind. I really don't." Kaiser ran a hand through his hair.
"But he's over here wanting to keep us safe, without knowing we're the exact thing that attacked him." He said.

"We didn't though, that other bastard did-"
"That's not the point." Kaiser frowned looking out into the street.

"You want to keep him safe?" Stetson looked to Kaiser who frowned at the other.
Stetson rubbed the side of his neck.
"You can always erase his memories of us." He told him.

Kaiser stood to his feet as Stetson raised his hands in defense.
"Obviously joking, I just didn't think you'd be that interested in someone, especially a human of all things." He shrugged.

Kaiser glared softly at the other.
"I could say the same about you and Rocky-"
"Except Rocky is no longer human, I ripped him from that right." Stetson frowned at Kaiser who glared before pinching the bridge of his nose.
"I can't be pissed at you when you use guilt trips like that, but you didn't rip Rocky away from anything. He knew the risks." He said.
Stetson watched the other before looking at the street now.
"I would have liked him to stay human a bit longer-"
"You were sloppy." Kaiser told the other.
Stetson's eye twitched.
"Right, well let my accident be a reminder for when you decide to mark Ziggy as yours." Stetson stood to his feet.

"Because once you get a taste of human blood after so long, it's hard to stop yourself, so. Don't be sloppy." He turned in the direction of the hospital.
"I'm going back inside, you can plan out that murder of yours another day. You have a human who is alive in that room, and wants to see you, so stop being selfish by keeping him waiting." Stetson told the other.

Kaiser sat there for the longest minute, sighing to himself, he stood to his feet and headed back inside.

My eyes fell on the door that opened as both Kaiser and Stetson walked back into the room.
I was relieved.

"Sorry." Kaiser walked over to me.
"I was being selfish by walking away earlier, that wasn't fair of me to do." He told me.
I blinked looking at him.
"O-Oh, no it's okay, me and Rocky were just hanging out.. are you okay now?" I asked him.
Kaiser smiled softly.
"You're the one in the hospital bed, and you're asking if I'm okay?" He questioned.
I blushed.
"I guess I am.." 

Kaiser gently caressed my face as he smiled softly.
"I promise I'm okay, especially right now." He took my hand, squeezing it as my brows knitted.
"Kaiser-"

"Go out with me." Kaiser told me.

"Well, I did not see that coming." Stetson commented as Rocky stood to his feet.
"We'll give you two a few minutes." Rocky grinned before pushing his boyfriend out of the room, leaving the two of us alone.

I looked at Kaiser, confused.
"Go out with you?" I repeated.
Kaiser nodded looking at me.
"If it seems rushed, I understand, I just.. I want to keep you safe, and this is the only way I know how. I'm not usually the selfish type, but I really don't like the idea of anyone else winning you over, that isn't me. I want to be your first everything, so, forgive me by being selfish. Ziggy." He looked at me as my brows knitted.

"Go out with me." He said as my heart began to race.
"Even after.. everything, knowing the baggage, the walls I keep up. The demons that chase me, you.. you want to date someone, as broken as I am?" I asked him.
Kaiser took both of my hands now, kissing my knuckles.
"You are not broken in my eyes, you do not have baggage and those walls? With time, they'll come down, but I will never rush or push you into anything, that I can promise you." Kaiser looked at me.
"And those demons that chase you? They can chase me as well, because I'm not going anywhere." Kaiser smiled softly at me as I looked at him, teary eyed.

"Ziggy-"
"Yes." I answered as the others eyes widened.
"You'll go out with me?" He asked.
I nodded as the tears slipped.
"Mhm." I agreed.

He looked so happy in that moment, his arms gently embracing me as his lips took mine.

I don't know what him and Stetson talked about outside.
But in that short time.
Something changed.
It worried me.
But.

It also made me realize.

I really did love, Kaiser Montoya.
