**Joshua.**

"Jayce, hurry up or we're going to be late!" I yelled sliding my shoes on at the front door.
"The movie doesn't start until seven!" I heard my twin yell back as I paused, my eyes were on the time.
Six-thirty.
Frowning I leaned against the wall.

"Josh?"
I looked to the left of me that led to the living room.
Sighing, I walked into the room with my eyes on our mom.

She sat there in her rocking chair, tired blue eyes on me.
"Are you two going out?" She asked me.
I nodded looking at the other.
"We're going to see the new terrifier movie, apparently it's making people throw up and stuff." I shrugged.
Our mom made a face.
"Oh.. how charming, well just be careful and have fun, do the two of you have enough money?" She asked.

I nodded.
"We do." I looked around.
"Where's dad?" I asked her now.
Our mom shrugged.
"Probably at a bar, who knows." She stood up from her chair before walking over to me.
"Please watch after your brother, you know Jayce can be sensitive to things." She told me.

She hasn't met our new friend yet.
Honestly?
I wasn't sure who was more emotionally sensitive, Ziggy or Jayce.
It was mean to say.
But they were very emotional for guys.

I just smiled softly at her.
"Sure thing, are you going to lay down?" I questioned.
She nodded walking past me.

I walked to the door to only find Jayce waiting on me.
"Ready?" He asked.
I blinked before nodding as I followed the other out the door.

We didn't own a car due to our parents having low income, so walking to the theater was our only option.
I could have invited Rocky or Devin, but I think Jayce was wanting this to be a sibling hangout.
Not that I minded.
It was nice seeing Jayce be selfish, because he never was.

"We can get something to eat afterwards if you're hungry." I told Jayce who blinked before nodding as he looked ahead.
"Sure, what were you thinking?" He asked me.
I thought about what money we had, knowing it would have to be cheap.
"Maybe Deans?" I suggested.
Jayce nodded, not arguing with that idea.

"Hey.."
I blinked looking to the other.
"Yeah?"
Jayce's brows furrowed.
"Do you think Ziggy will be okay with that big secret? It was hard for me to keep it." He said now.
I stared before looking ahead.
"I think he'll be fine, Kaiser must really like him if he flat out told Ziggy about them, but then again.." I rubbed the side of my neck.
"Kaiser didn't really have a choice considering everything going on, especially with that old classmate of Ziggy's and now Devi starting to make an appearance." I said.

Jayce's brows knitted.
"Josh, about Devi-"
"It'll be fine don't worry, plus? You have Dorian to keep you safe if Devi starts acting up." I told him.
Jayce frowned at me.
"I'm not worried about myself, I'm worried about you.. what if Devi comes for you?" He asked me.

Well..
I wouldn't exactly hate that.
But.
I couldn't tell my brother or our friends about that thought of mine.

In truth?
I had the biggest crush on Devi.
I was supposed to be working on getting over those feelings.
But I kept failing big time.
Especially when we had classes together.

"He has no interest in me, so don't worry too much." I told Jayce who frowned softly.
"Right.." He frowned as we made our way into the theater.
----------
During the movie, my attention was not anywhere on the movie.
Even during the shower scene.
It was gory for sure.
But that's not what had my attention.

We were just talking about this guy and now he's in the theater.
Devi was in a seat two rows down from us.
And from the looks of it, he was alone.
So he was into movies like this as well?
..
Actually, what was I thinking?
Of course he was into movies like this.
