**Ziggy**

I didn't want to go home.
I already knew that my aunt said something to my uncle, and that would just lead to an argument.
I was scared.
My uncle was already an angry man with me under his roof, so it wouldn't surprise me if he was a violent one as well.
The idea of being hit made me feel sick.

I frowned feeling my phone buzzing.
I stared hard at her name, only because of what happened this morning.
Was it another trick?
Sucking in some air.
I accepted the phone call.

"Lexi?"
{"There you are, Ziggy, I'm sorry about this morning. I had no idea that the guys were going to steal my phone, I was the one who called you but then Zeke took my phone and walked off with it."} She explained on the other end.
It made my brows furrow as I stood outside the doors of the school.
"Did you hear any of the conversation?" I asked her.
{"No, Zeke just told me he wanted to check on you-"}
"He's a liar Lexi, I wish you wouldn't believe him so easily." I frowned softly leaning against the wall now.

{"... Right, how is your second day going? I know I'm being bad at the girlfriend department, but I've been busy."} She told me.
I looked around, dreading the one who would be picking me up.
"It's fine, I understand.. but, things are going fine with school. I've made some new friends." I told her.
{"That's amazing baby, I'm so happy for you. No one's been mean to you have they?"} She questioned.
It made me smile softly.
"No, they are all really nice so far." I replied.
{"Good, hey, I need to get going so I'll talk to you later."} She told me before hanging up first.

I stood there before sighing softly.

"Was that the girlfriend?"
I looked over my shoulder, feeling shy as Kaiser walked over to me, there was this softness in his eyes as I stared back at him.
"Yeah, she was just checking on me after this morning." I told him.
Kaiser stared before looking ahead.
"How are you feeling by the way?" He asked as I blinked before my face grew warm.

"O-Oh, I'm okay." I lied with a soft smile.
It made his brows knit before frowning as he sighed but smiled softly.
"Good." He replied.

I wasn't even thinking before that dread I was feeling earlier returned, when a certain silver car drove up with the windows all down.
It was a force of habit, but I felt myself shrinking standing next to Kaiser because it wasn't just Bryce in that car.
His friends Kylo Hill, Jordan Avery and Abel Fisher were with him.
And they were all looking at us.

Not even thinking, I grabbed the back of Kaisers shirt who frowned softly at me.
"What's wrong?" He quietly asked as I looked at him.
I flinched before letting go.
"Sorry, it's nothing. I'll see you tomorrow." I said in a low voice.

"Let's go fag, we don't have all day!" I heard Kylo yell which earned laughter in the car.
I balled my fists fixing to move.

"Hey Ziggy, don't forget we have that English project we need to work on!"
My face flushed red turning to the right of us.
Rocky.
But he wasn't alone, that guy from before who I don't think really likes me was with him.

I was scared to move before Rocky was in my face, grinning at me.
"We should work on that today, right?" He asked me.
I looked at him with knitted brows.

"Ziggy, let's fucking go already!" I heard Bryce yell now.
I turned to him before Rocky snatched my wrist, he smiled at the guys in the car.

"I'll bring him home later, we have a project that isn't finished." Rocky replied as I tried to push myself backwards the moment Kylo stepped outside of the car.

"That's pretty selfish of you not to even call your own cousin, Ziggy, do you know how much gas Bryce could have saved if you had picked up that phone and sent a message?" He asked.
I flinched as my heart pounded hard against my chest.

"Full offense, but I wouldn't want to get in the car with any of you jackasses."

My eyes grew wide as Rocky facepalmed looking in the direction of Stetson, there was this irritation in his eyes looking at my cousin who stepped out of the car now.

"Why is that?" Bryce sized Stetson up who smirked at the other.
"You really don't want me to answer that." Stetson sighed as Bryce glared now.
"Oh no?" He asked.
Stetson looked at the other.
"I suggest getting in that piss car of yours and telling your mommy and daddy, Ziggy had plans after school, he called you during lunch break and you completely forgot." He told him.

"What the fuck? That fag didn't call Bryce." Jordan growled.

"Do it." Stetson locked eyes with Bryce who stepped back.
"Right, I forgot he called me." He rubbed the side of his neck as his friends gawked at him.

"Bryce, what the hell man?" Abel glared as Bryce made his way to the driver seat, not saying anything to me, he drove off and I was dropping to my knees.

"Ziggy, are you okay?" Kaiser was knelt down in front of me as I tried to calm my heart rate.
There's no way this is going to fly over with my uncle.
I don't know how Stetson made Bryce leave, but his friends were pissed.
And I already knew they would make it worse for me.

I looked up at Kaiser with tears in my eyes.
"I-I'm okay." I lied as he frowned before getting to his feet, he offered me his hand as I hesitated but took it.

"Who were those jackasses?" Rocky asked me as I frowned softly at the other.
"My cousin and his friends, I'm sorry for getting you involved." I rubbed the side of my neck.
"Are you kidding? You were terrified of them, there was no way I was fixing to let you leave with them." Rocky said, glaring softly at Kaiser who frowned softly.

I looked at Rocky.
"Thanks.., I didn't want to be alone with them either." I found myself saying.

"Ziggy?"

I froze before turning to see my uncle Mitchell still here.

"Uncle, hi." I greeted the other.
My uncle frowned at me.
"Why are you still here?" He questioned as I frowned softly.
"O-Oh, that's because-"

"He didn't want to go home yet." Kaiser answered as my uncle frowned at him before his eyes fell on me and his expression softened.

"Then you can come home with me." He told me as my eyes grew wide.
"Why..?"
My uncle blinked before smiling softly.
"Because outside of school, you're my nephew and I'd like to catch up without other students giving you a hard time." He explained.

My face grew warm.
"O-Okay.."

"Do you want to go with him?" Kaiser asked me, but his tone was careful so it wouldn't offend my uncle.
I nodded.
"I do, thank you for staying with me. I'll see you guys later." I said fixing to follow my uncle.

"Oh, Zigzag wait!"
I turned to Rocky who handed me a slip of paper, grinning softly.
"My number, so we can stay in contact." He told me.
I blinked but smiled softly.
"Thank you." I said before walking off with my uncle.
--------
"Kaiser is turning a new leaf, I've never known him to be protective of anyone." My uncle commented on the drive to his house.
I felt my face growing warm again.
"Oh.. is that so, I mean, he's really nice to me." I replied.
My uncle looked to me before he smiled softly.
"That's a good thing." He said turning down the road as I looked out the window.

"Listen Ziggy, when we get to my house, I'd like for the two of us to talk. Is that okay with you?" He asked.
I blinked.
"You're... asking if I'm okay with talking?" I questioned.
My uncle smiled softly.
"Yes, that's how being open works and I'd like for you to be open with me." He said pulling into the driveway of this two story house with blue brick on the walls.

"Okay." I agreed as my uncle smiled.
"Good, let's go." He said getting out of the car as I grabbed my bags and followed the other into the house.
------
"I'm home! Sorry I was running late, I had to pick something up on the way here." My uncle announced as I followed him through the house.

"We're in the kitchen!" I heard another man respond as I looked to my uncle confused.

We walked in and I tried not to gawk at how attractive this man was.
He stood at the stove with an apron tied around him, he had messy brown hair and soft blue eyes.

There was a toddler who was maybe three years old, sitting in a highchair, making a mess with applesauce.

"Oh? Who is this?" The brunet questioned my uncle who smiled softly.

"My nephew, Ziggy."  He said as the man's eyes grew wide.
"Oh! How rude of me." He walked over and offered his hand to me.

"My name is Hyde, your uncle's partner." He told me.
My eyes grew wide looking to my uncle who smiled softly at the other.
"He's the shy type, the two of us are actually fixing to talk. Are the girls home?" He asked.

Hyde shook his head.
"You know how they both like to explore, they should be home by the time it's ready to eat." He said.

My uncle nodded.
"Alright, before I talk with my nephew, do you need any help?" He questioned.
Hyde smiled softly.
"It's just spaghetti, it doesn't take two people, so go talk." He told him.
My uncle smiled before nodding as he motioned for me to follow him.

I looked around as I walked up the stairs and into an empty bedroom that led to a balcony.
My uncle pushed open the double doors and walked over to the small table, motioning for me to join him.
Hesitating, I did so.

"Alright kiddo, I know it's going to be a touchy subject and you don't have to say anything. But how are you really doing in that home?" My uncle asked me.
I flinched and he unfortunately caught it.

My uncle frowned.
"Is it physically or mentally that they're abusing you?" He carefully questioned.
I looked at him with a flushed face.
"It's more mental than physical.. uncle, they hate me." I told him.

He frowned at that before sighing softly.
"I figured as much, my brother is a real piece of work, especially when it comes to sexuality." He replied as I looked out toward the trees, frowning softly.
"I have a girlfriend, but I don't even think I like her.. I was told to do it, because uncle Tony commanded it." I told him.

My uncle frowned deeply.
"He's a real control master, listen Ziggy, I had no relation to Shay or Ryan. I'm only your uncle because Ryan was your aunt Shay's brother, I wasn't here during the funeral so I wasn't able to raise my hand when it came to taking you in, because I would have in a heartbeat." He told me as my eyes grew wet looking at him.
"Uncle-"
"I don't think any child should be miserable in a house they're not loved in, it might take a few days, but if I can somehow talk to Tony and Shay and they don't make it a big deal, would you like to come and live with us?" He suggested.

Tears rolled down my cheeks as I looked at him.
"Y-You want me to live with you? Even though I.. I like guys?" My face burned hearing my uncle laugh.
"Kiddo, I'm married to a man and we have three children, one was adopted while the girls are Hyde's biologically, but his wife passed when they were only babies, but to answer your question." He stood up and came around to me, kneeling down.

"I don't care if you're straight, bisexual, gay. If you decide you were born the wrong gender and you want to wear girl clothes, I would love you regardless of all that. And even though your late parents are no longer here, I know for a FACT they would love you too." He told me as tears rolled down my cheeks.

I looked at him.
"Please, uncle. Get me out of that house." I begged him.
My uncle reached as I flinched but froze when I felt his arms wrapping around, embracing me.
The tears fell fast as I hesitated but hugged the other back.
It's been so long.
I wasn't even sure what a hug felt like.

"I will, just give me a few more days." He told me.
I nodded.

"Now then, enough water works, are you ready to eat?" My uncle asked me.
My stomach growled at the mention of food, which made me blush as he smiled softly.
"I'll take that as a yes, come on." He told me.

In a few days.
This will be my new home.
And then.

I'll hopefully start living my life the way I should have been from the start.
