I skipped over to Heartslabyul's kitchen "Hey, hubby."

"Hello, wifey. I just finished the doughnuts you asked." Trey smiled at me.

My heart skipped a beat but I smirked, acting unfazed "Aren't you getting bold lately?"

"Not really. I am simply matching you." He booped my nose.

I let out a giggle "I am so getting back at you for that."

He smiled, handing me the box "How vile. I didn't even get a reward for my hard work."

"Right, right." I hold the box in one hand and use the other to cup his cheek. I lean in to kiss his other cheek... but he unexpectedly turned his head at the last second, causing me to kiss his lips instead. "Nya!" I jump back in surprise, face turning red and cat ears and tail appearing out of nowhere.

Trey looked at me with amusement "Why, thank you for the treat."

More of my hair turned pink "I... You..." 'Tch' I turn and run away "I'm not forgetting this!"

"I hope you won't." I hear him say before I left.

"Why are you drenched?" Ruggie asked while eating the doughnuts I gave him.

"I had to cat- I mean, cool down." I sigh, running a hand through my damp hair, the cat appendages having disappeared.

Ruggie seemed to have gotten distracted by that because he bit into the air instead of his doughnut, making me chuckle lightly. He blushed at that, clearing his throat "Anyway..."

"Oh, right. You did what I asked?" I put a hand on my hip.

He nods "Yeah. What was it for again?"

"Not much. I just... need to clarify some stuff."

"Housewarden Leona? Ruggie-senpai told me you needed to see me..." Jack steps into Leona's room and looks around but sees no one. He raises an eyebrow, confused "Weird-"

The door suddenly shuts behind him, making him flinch. He turns around to see me standing in front of the door "Hey, Jackie."

His face suddenly turns red and he backs up "W- What are you..."

"Relax~ I'm not gonna attack you..." Pink. I put a finger on my lips "Would you like me to attack you?~"

He blushes even more, stepping back further.

I realize my mistake "Ah, sorry. Force of habits, I think." I straighten up and clear my throat "I asked Ruggie to get Leona out of his room and call you here so we could have a private chat. There's something I need to tell you... about what I did during the whole Styx story..."

He gulped 'Is it...'

"I'm sorry." I bow my head, taking him off guard "I was in a bad place at the moment and you were there telling me just the right things. I didn't think it through and just... kissed you, without even your consent. That was highly inappropriate of me and I can tell it still affects you to this day. I never should have done such a thing, I just hope you and I can remain friends like we used to be. And if you want me to stop teasing and play flirting with you to make you feel better, I'll do just that-"

"No." I was surprised by the way he immediately objected and I could tell he surprised himself as well when I looked up and saw the look on his face. He cleared his throat and looked away "I mean... you don't have to change yourself to make me feel better. It's just... Not just for me but some others, we're always with you and you're pretty comfortable with us. Sometimes, it's... hard to know if you're just playing or... Well... when you... kissed me... I thought... maybe..."
