The Maghrib prayer call echoed from the masjid, its peaceful melody drifting through the palace corridors, filling Samaira's chamber with a sense of calm that barely touched her troubled heart.

"Oh Allah, there is no ease except that which You make easy. And indeed, You, when You will, make difficulties easy. Guide me on the right path, for You are sufficient for me, and You are the best disposer of affairs." she whispered softly, her voice tinged with a quiet desperation as she blew gently over herself, concluding her prayer.

Rising to her feet, she folded her prayer mat slowly and just as she turned to place the mat aside, a faint knock echoed from behind her.

She froze, her breath catching, her pulse quickening as she realized the knock was coming from behind the balcony door.

Another knock, soft but insistent.

Samaira's eyes darted to the door, a wave of unease washing over her, her thoughts racing.

"Who could it be?"

Her gaze flickered to the candlestick resting on her bedside table. She grabbed it instinctively, clutching it tightly as if it could somehow ward off the unknown threat.

With trembling hands, she slowly approached the balcony door. Her breath hitched as she cautiously unlatched it, the metal cool against her fingertips.
