**Ten Years Earlier....**

In the Kingdom of Amruthsthaan, nestled along the northern shores, a young Queen Numaira sat in her chamber, gently tending to her daughter's hair.

The fortified palace, a symbol of endurance, perched proudly amidst a landscape of rugged mountains, rocky hills, and coastal plains. Its imposing ramparts, crafted from weathered stone, stood as silent sentinels of the city's storied past, while fluttering banners in vibrant hues added a regal touch to the scene.

As the comb glided through the locks of little Samaira's hair, Numaira shared tales of her own childhood, painting vivid pictures of days spent in the palace of Amarabad. Occasionally, her hand would instinctively drift to her slightly rounded belly, a subtle yet undeniable sign of the new life growing within her.

"Do you know, Samaira, your uncle Kabir would always get into mischief?" Numaira chuckled softly, her fingers weaving through Samaira's hair with practiced ease

"Do you know, Samaira, your uncle Kabir would always get into mischief?" Numaira chuckled softly, her fingers weaving through Samaira's hair with practiced ease. "He was quite the troublemaker, always causing a ruckus around the palace."

Samaira's eyes sparkled with curiosity as she listened intently, her youthful imagination ignited by her mother's stories. "What kind of mischief did he get into, Ammi?" she asked eagerly, her voice tinged with excitement.

Numaira's smile widened as she reminisced about her brother's antics. "Oh, he was always up to something," she said, laughter dancing in her eyes. "He would play pranks on me and my friends, hiding my belongings or sneaking into my room to steal my sweets. We always quarreled with each other." She paused, having finished braiding Samaira's hair, and added with a fond smile, "But despite the fights, we always loved and cared for each other."

"I'm sure Mama Saheb got scolded by Nani Saheba because of you complaining alot, didn't he?" Samaira chuckled, looking at her mother teasingly.

Numaira softly pinched her daughter's cheeks with a smile, but their moment was abruptly interrupted by a sudden commotion outside the palace walls.

The sound of echoing voices carried through the salty air. "OPEN THE GATES!" came the urgent cry, followed by the metallic clatter of the gatekeepers' response.

Numaira's heart skipped a beat as she instinctively moved Samaira to the side, her hand protectively resting on her slightly rounded belly. The urgency of the commotion outside propelled her to the window, where she strained to see the gates.

Anxiety knotted in her stomach as she witnessed the returning convoy that had gone to support Amarabad's war against the advancing allied forces of Aldoria and Indrapur.
