Childhood is like living inside an eggshell-fragile, warm, and seemingly invincible. You are sheltered from the unknown, believing the walls around you will never break. Outside, you trust that the hands protecting you are your parents, ever-present and strong. But when that shell cracks and you finally emerge into the world, it is terrifying. You cry, you flinch, because the unfamiliarity is overwhelming.

But what if the guardians outside that shell weren't your parents? What if they were strangers, impostors? Would you still cry out for them, or would the fear only deepen, leaving you lost and alone in a world you no longer understand?

In the ancient desert kingdom of Al-Kuthbaan, a chick had cracked out of her shell, only to find the world beyond it was far crueler than she had ever imagined.

Princess Samaira sat by the tall, arched window of her chamber, her gaze hollow as she stared out at the vast garden below.

The sun beat down mercilessly, casting a harsh glow over the greenery-a cruel contrast to the turmoil raging inside her.

Once, she had lived with certainty, believing her world was rooted in truth and love. But now, everything had been shattered.

Her entire life had been a carefully constructed illusion, and the truth had hit her like a storm she couldn't escape.

She had been a princess. She had been loved, cared for, protected. But now she didn't even know who she was. And in this prison of luxury, far from her home, far from the people who had raised her, Samaira was left with only questions, and no one to turn to for answers

As Samaira stared out at the garden, her thoughts began to spiral, the silence of her chamber only amplifying the chaos in her mind.

"Why didn't you tell me, Ammi?" she wondered bitterly.

"Why did you hide the truth from me all these years?" Her hands tightened around the edge of the window, the frustration building inside her.

"I wasn't yours... all this time... and I never knew. Was I just a pawn?"

But as quickly as the anger flared, it dissolved into something far more painful.

"I miss you, Ammi..." she thought, her heart aching.

"Even now, after everything, I just want to lie in your lap and cry. I just want you to tell me that everything will be okay."

Her mind shifted to Amir, the memory of him stirring something tender and regretful inside her.

"Amir... I'm sorry. You didn't deserve the way I treated you. You cared for me-loved me. And I let the anger get the best of me."

She blinked back tears, her chest tightening with regret.
