The Grand Hall of Amarabad, which had been filled with music and joyous wedding celebrations just two weeks ago, now stood silent and somber. The walls that had echoed with laughter and merriment now bore witness to the deepest sorrow. In the center of the hall lay King Kabir's body, bathed ceremonially and wrapped in a shroud, resting in a coffin.
A devastated Queen Sulthana sat beside him, her eyes red and swollen from weeping.
As the royal scribes arrived, Sulthana composed herself enough to give them instructions.
"Send letters to our relatives and allies throughout the kingdom, and also to my daughter in Kaveripuram, informing them of the king's passing," she instructed, her voice trembling.
"And bring me parchment and ink," she added.
Receiving the materials, she began writing a personal letter to Numaira, detailing everything that had transpired in Amarabad; From Sameer's kidnapping to Kabir's Death.
As she sealed the letter, she stared at the seat beside her, lost in memories of happier times.
Until a messenger arrived, breaking her reverie. "Mallika Saheba, you summoned me?" he asked respectfully.
"Go to Amruthsthaan and deliver this to Queen Numaira immediately," she instructed, handing over the letter.
The messenger nodded and swiftly departed, leaving Sulthana to her sorrow once more.
With the hall still heavy with silence, Sulthana turned her gaze back to her late husband, her heart aching with the weight of loss.

Deep within the palace grounds, in a damp and dark underground dungeon, Vikram stood over a bound and beaten Saifuddin Mirza.
He had been tortured throughout the night, his body bearing the marks of brutal interrogation by Vikram's men. The air was thick with the stench of blood and sweat.
Vikram splashed a bucket of ice-cold water on Mirza, jolting him awake with a gasp.
