Irfan pulled into his driveway, excitement building in his chest. He had been looking forward to this surprise party for weeks. He parked his car and stepped out, taking a deep breath of the crisp evening air.
As he entered his house, he called out, "Hello? Is anyone here?"
The silence was eerie. "Why is it so dark?" Irfan wondered aloud.
Just as he was about to speak again, the lights flickered on, and the room erupted into a kaleidoscope of color and sound. Flowers rained down on him, and the air filled with cheers and applause.
Irfan's eyes widened in astonishment. His living room had been transformed into a luxurious wonderland. Elegant balloons and streamers adorned the ceiling, while intricate flower arrangements and sparkling candles covered every surface.
Noor, his sister, rushed to his side, her bright smile illuminating the room. "Happy birthday, Pops!" She flung her arms around him in a tight hug.
Irfan laughed, hugging her back. "Thank you, Princess!"
Noor grasped his hand, pulling him further into the living room. "Come see!"
The room fell silent as all eyes turned to Irfan. His family and friends, dressed in their finest attire, awaited his reaction.
His mother, beaming with pride, stepped forward. "Happy birthday, son! We wanted to make this day special for you."
"Wow, Mom...this is incredible!" Irfan's eyes welled up with gratitude.
His father, smiling broadly, added, "Our son deserves only the best."
Uncle Adnan and Aunty Malika echoed the sentiment, wishing him a happy birthday. Grandma blessed him with a gentle pat on the cheek.
Irfan's work staff, led by his colleague, marwan, presented him with gifts. "Happy birthday, Irfan! We hope your day is as amazing as you are."
Safwan, his best friend, clapped him on the back. "Happy birthday, buddy! You're another year older, but still looking young and handsome."
Just as Irfan was about to respond, Amrah sidled up to him, her voice husky. "Happy birthday, baby..."
Irfan frowned, his expression stern. "Not now, Amrah."
The room fell momentarily silent, but Noor quickly broke the tension. "Let's cut the cake! It's time to celebrate!"
As the party continued, Irfan's heart swelled with love and appreciation for the people surrounding him. This was truly a birthday to remember.
As the cake-cutting ceremony was about to begin, a vision in pink emerged from the distance, her dress shimmering under the lights. Her raven hair danced around her face, and her earrings sparkled like diamonds. The room fell silent, all eyes fixed on the newcomer.
Finally, she stepped into the light, revealing Nadiya's stunning features. Her light makeup accentuated her natural beauty, and her smile radiated warmth.
"Wow," marwan breathed.
Noor whispered, "She looks like a princess!"
Nadiya greeted everyone with a gracious smile before turning to Irfan. "Happy birthday—"
Mrs. Khadija interrupted, her voice icy. "Who invited you to this party?"
Nadiya's eyes locked onto Amrah, who spoke up hastily, "I did."
Irfan's eyes narrowed. "You?"
Amrah's expression turned innocent. "Yes, I wanted to make amends."
Amrah chimed in, her voice sugary sweet. "I wanted to rectify my mistakes. I realized I was wrong."
