The nurses gently wheeled Nadiya's lifeless body out of the hospital room, covering her with a white sheet. Nouf followed closely behind, her eyes streaming with tears as she begged the nurses not to take her sister away.
"Please, don't take her! She's my sister, my best friend! I need her!" Nouf cried, her voice shaking with emotion.
The nurses exchanged sympathetic glances, but they knew they had to follow protocol. They continued to wheel Nadiya's body down the corridor, Nouf following closely behind.
Meanwhile, Irfan was still reeling from the news of Nadiya's passing. He was sitting in the corridor, his head in his hands, when the doctor approached him.
"Irfan, I'm so sorry to have to ask you this, but we need you to sign the discharge papers for Nadiya's body," the doctor said gently.
Irfan looked up, his eyes red and puffy from crying. He nodded slowly, his body feeling heavy with grief.
As he stood up and followed the doctor to the reception area, he caught sight of Nadiya's body being wheeled out of the room. He felt a wave of pain wash over him, and he stumbled backwards, his eyes fixed on Nadiya's lifeless form.
The doctor caught him by the arm, steadying him. "Irfan, I'm so sorry. This is a difficult time for you, but we need to take care of the formalities."
Irfan nodded slowly, his eyes never leaving Nadiya's body. He felt like he was in a nightmare, and he couldn't wake up.
As he approached Nadiya's body, he felt a sense of despair wash over him. He sat down on the floor beside her, taking her cold hand in his.
"Nadiya, why did you leave me?" he whispered, his voice shaking with emotion. "My life is nothing without you. You were my everything, my reason for living."
He looked up at her face, and his heart broke all over again. She looked so peaceful, so serene, but he knew that she was gone.
"Do you remember when you told me that you'd never leave me, that you'd always be with me?" Irfan asked, his voice cracking with emotion. "Why did you break your promise, Nadiya? Why did you leave me?"
As he spoke, his body shook with sobs, and he felt like he was drowning in his own grief. He couldn't bear the thought of living without Nadiya, and he didn't know how he was going to go on without her.
Irfan's eyes welled up with tears as he struggled to come to terms with the devastating news. He felt like he was living in a nightmare, and he couldn't wake up. Nadiya, his beloved Nadiya, was gone. Forever.
The nurses, with their kind faces and gentle hands, wheeled Nadiya's lifeless body out of the hospital and into the ambulance. Irfan and Nouf followed closely behind, their faces etched with grief and shock. Nouf held Irfan's baby in her arms, the little one's innocent face a stark contrast to the tragedy that had unfolded.
As they drove to Irfan's home, the silence in the car was oppressive, punctuated only by the occasional sniffle or sob. Irfan sat in the passenger seat, his eyes fixed on the ambulance ahead, his heart heavy with grief.
Nouf reached out and placed a gentle hand on his arm. "Irfan, I'm so sorry," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. "Nadiya was my whole world. I'll miss her so much."
Irfan nodded, his throat constricting with emotion. He couldn't speak, couldn't find the words to express the depth of his grief.
As they arrived at Irfan's home, the nurses brought Nadiya's body into the living room, where Irfan's family members were waiting. The room was filled with shock and grief as they took in the sight of Nadiya's lifeless body.
Irfan's mother, grandmother, and Noor were all curious, asking Irfan what had happened. But Irfan remained quiet, unsure of how to share the news.
"Who's that?" Noor asked, pointing to Nadiya's body. "And where's Nadiya? You told us that she gave birth to a handsome prince. Where is he?"
Irfan's grandmother looked at him with concern. "Yes, dear, what's wrong? Why are you crying, and where's Nadiya?"
Irfan's mother looked at him with a mix of sadness and concern. "Son, who's that body? Tell me."
But Irfan remained quiet, unsure of how to share the news. He continued crying, unable to find the words to express his grief.
Finally, he gathered the courage to speak, his voice trembling with emotion. "It's Nadiya's body," he said, his words hanging in the air like a challenge.
The room fell silent, as if everyone had been punched in the gut. Noor looked at Irfan like he was crazy. "You're joking, right, bruh?"
But Irfan's mother shook her head, her face etched with grief and shock. "No, Noor, it's true. Nadiya is gone."
Irfan fell to the floor, sobbing uncontrollably. "I'm so sorry, Mom," he cried, his voice shaking with emotion. "I'm so sorry that I couldn't save her."
The room erupted into chaos, with everyone crying and wailing. Irfan's mother held him close, stroking his hair as she tried to comfort him. "I'm so sorry, dear," she whispered. "I'm so sorry that you have to go through this."
