The room fell silent as everyone's eyes widened in shock at the sight of Amrah standing in the doorway. Nouf stood up, her face pale with surprise, while Aunt Malika's eyes welled up with tears of joy. She rushed over to her daughter, embracing her tightly and asking if she was fine.
Irfan, on the other hand, stood up, his face stern and angry. "What brought you here?" he demanded, his voice low and menacing.
Amrah smiled sweetly, seemingly unaffected by the tension in the room. "Oh, come on Irfan, don't get angry. I just returned," she said, her voice dripping with innocence.
But Grandma was not fooled. Her eyes narrowed, her face stern with disapproval. "Don't you have any shame?" she asked, her voice trembling with anger. "How can you come back to this house after what you've done?"
Noor's eyes were wide with curiosity. "And how did you even get released from jail?" she asked, her voice full of suspicion.
Amrah's smile faltered for a moment, but she quickly recovered. "Oh, I was released on bail," she said, her voice casual. "I'm still awaiting trial, but I'm confident that I'll be acquitted."
Aunt Malika's eyes were still shining with tears as she held Amrah tightly. "We're just glad you're home safe, Amarah," she said, her voice trembling with emotion. "We'll deal with everything else later."
But Irfan was not so easily placated. His eyes narrowed, his face still stern with anger. "We need to talk about this, Amrah," he said, his voice low and menacing. "You can't just waltz back in here and expect everything to be okay."
Amrah's smile faltered again, and for a moment, Nouf saw a glimmer of fear in her eyes. But then, her expression smoothed out, and she smiled again, her eyes glinting with defiance. "I'm not afraid of you, Irfan," she said, her voice dripping with malice. "I'm not afraid of anyone."
Amarah's eyes scanned the room, her gaze lingering on each person before finally coming to rest on Nouf. A cruel smile spread across her face as she pointed a finger at Nouf.
"Oooo, here's my new rival," Amrah said, her voice dripping with malice. "I see you're still trying to play the role of the perfect wife and mother."
Nouf was taken aback by Amrah's sudden attack. She stood there, speechless, her eyes wide with shock.
Amarah's gaze shifted, her eyes scanning the room once again. "And where's my little boy?" she asked, her voice laced with cruelty. "I'm talking about Amaan... the orphan."
Nouf's face went white with rage. "Don't you dare call my son an orphan," she spat, her voice trembling with anger. "I'm his mother, and I'll never let you hurt him."
Amarah's smile grew wider, her eyes glinting with amusement. " Nouf, "You think you're so much better than me, don't you? But let me tell you, I'm the one who's going to come out on top. I'm the one who's going to take everything that's rightfully mine."
Irfan stepped forward, his face stern with warning. "Amarah, that's enough," he said, his voice firm.
Amarah's smile faltered for a moment, but she quickly recovered. " Irfu baby, you're so protective of your little wife," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Nouf's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with questions.what did she plan to do next?
The silence in the room was oppressive, the tension between Amrah and the rest of the family almost palpable. Nouf's eyes were fixed on Amarah, her mind racing with questions and fears.
Suddenly, Amaan walked into the room, rubbing his eyes sleepily. "Mommy, I had a bad dream," he said, running to Nouf and wrapping his arms around her waist.
