As Irfan arrived at the office, he was greeted by the familiar sight of his staff busily working away at their desks. They looked up as he walked in, and a chorus of "good mornings" and "hello, sir"s filled the air.
But Irfan didn't respond to their greetings. He just walked past them, his eyes fixed on the door to his cabin. He didn't even acknowledge their presence, let alone return their greetings.
His staff was used to his behavior, and they didn't take it personally. They just went back to their work, whispering to each other about their boss's latest mood.
As Irfan entered his cabin, he was greeted by the calm and efficient presence of his secretary, Nisha .She looked up from her computer and smiled. "Good morning, sir. Can I get you anything?"
Irfan didn't bother to respond. He just walked over to his desk and sat down, his eyes fixed on the papers in front of him. "Call Nadiya," he said curtly.
Nisha nodded and picked up the phone. "Yes, sir. Right away."
She dialed the number and waited for Nadiya to answer. After a few moments, she said, "Nadiya, sir is calling for you. Please report to his cabin immediately."
Irfan didn't look up from his papers. He just waited for Nadiya to arrive, his mind already focused on the task at hand.
Nisha hung up the phone and turned back to Irfan. "She's on her way, sir," she said.
Irfan nodded, still not looking up. "Good," he said.
There was a knock at the door, and Nisha got up to answer it. "Come in," she said.
Nadiya walked in, looking confident and composed. "Good morning, sir," she said.
Irfan finally looked up, his eyes narrowing as he took in her appearance. "Good morning, Nadiya. Take a seat," he said.
Nadiya sat down in the chair in front of his desk, her eyes fixed on Irfan's face. She knew better than to try to make small talk with him. She just waited for him to speak, her mind focused on the task at hand.
Irfan and Nadiya had been discussing business matters in his office. As their conversation wrapped up, Nadiya stood up and headed towards the door. Irfan called out her name, but she didn't hear him. She stepped out, and Irfan, sensing something was wrong, hurriedly followed her. He caught up with her, gently grabbing her hand and pulling her back into his office.
"Nadiya, wait!" he said, his voice was urgent yet soft. He closed the door behind them and placed her against the wall, his arms around her, preventing her from leaving.
"What are you doing, Irfan?" Nadiya shouted, her eyes wide with confusion and anger. "Let me go!"
Outside, the staff had noticed the commotion. They whispered among themselves, speculating about what was happening. Some had even caught a glimpse of Irfan lifting Nadiya in his arms, and rumors began to spread.
Irfan leaned in close to Nadiya's ear, his voice barely a whisper. "There's a blood stain on the back of your clothes," he said gently.
Nadiya's eyes widened in shock and embarrassment. She realized it was her period. Unable to meet his gaze, she looked down, her face flushed with humiliation.
Without a word, Irfan removed his suit jacket and carefully tied it around her waist, covering the stain. "It's okay," he said softly, his eyes full of understanding. "Let's get you sorted out."
Irfan gently lifted Nadiya's chin, urging her to meet his eyes. "Nadiya, look at me," he said softly. "Being on your period is nothing to be ashamed of."
