Later that night

"My clothes clung to my skin, heavy and soaked, as I stumbled through the rising water. The wind howled around me, making it hard to hear anything but the deafening roar of the storm.

Panic gripped my chest as I fought for breath, each gasp more desperate than the last.

The water was rising fast, swallowing the ground beneath my feet, and I couldn't shake the fear that I might not find safety in time.

My heart raced, my thoughts scattered, and all I could think was that I had to survive—somehow."

Suddenly, I was swept off my feet, and pulled into a dark, swirling tunnel. The force of the water was like nothing I'd ever felt before. I gasped in shock, struggling to scream, but my voice was swallowed by the chaos around me.

I thrashed desperately, my heart pounding as I yelled for help, though I knew no one could hear me over the roar of the storm."

The water yanked me farther into the darkness, relentless and unforgiving. I fought against the current with every ounce of strength I had left, my arms flailing as I tried to swim toward something—anything—that could offer me escape.

But the pull of the storm was too strong, dragging me deeper, farther from hope, and my fear grew with every second."

As the water flooded my lungs, my body went into panic, and I gasped for air, choking on the cold, suffocating rush.

My hands desperately reached out, clawing at anything in sight, but everything slipped through my fingers. Each breath was harder to take, each second stretching longer as the dark water closed in on me."

Suddenly, a hand shot out of the darkness, grabbing my arm with a force that almost pulled me under. My heart leaped in my chest, and I screamed in terror, not knowing if it was a lifeline or another nightmare.

Through the swirling water, I could barely make out the familiar face—Jordan. My mind screamed for help, but my voice was drowned out by fear and the raging storm around us."

"Jordan pulled me up with a strength that felt unnatural, dragging me from the depths of the water.

As I gasped for breath, his laugh echoed in the chaos—low, dark, and twisted, sending a chill down my spine. It wasn't the sound of relief, but something far more sinister, and my blood ran cold as I realized this was no rescue."

"Coughing violently, I scrambled to crawl away, each movement slow and painful as my body refused to cooperate.

The sound of his laughter echoed like a nightmare as Jordan stood over me, watching, enjoying every moment. His eyes glinted with something cold and cruel, and I knew then—I wasn't going to escape easily."

"Before I could even attempt to run, his hand shot out, gripping my head with a vice-like force. He dragged me back toward the water I had barely escaped, the very same dark, suffocating depths that had almost swallowed me whole.

'No! No!' I screamed, thrashing, trying to break free, but it was useless.

His grip was unyielding, and the water loomed closer with every second, choking out any hope of survival."

"You thought I would really save you?" Jordan sneered, his voice dripping with mockery. Before I could react, he shoved me back under the water, its cold grip closing around me once again.

My lungs burned, desperate for air, but all I could do was choke as water flooded my chest and nose. 'I'll do it myself.

It's far more enjoyable to do it myself, he taunted, his laughter reverberating like a haunting, distorted melody as the inky depths of the water enveloped me completely.
