Fiancé?

*Katniss Pov* 

I wake up with sunlight shining through the window because Peeta likes to sleep with the windows open at night. I open my eyes and see Peeta walk in the door with pancakes and orange juice. 

"Good morning beautiful". 

He says while pressing a soft kiss to my lips.

"Morning handsome". I say.

I was thinking we could go out to dinner tonight if you want. He says.

I would love that Peeta. All right, we can go around 6:00. He says while placing down a plate of pancakes. 

You treat me so well. I say. You deserve above and beyond he says. I smile thinking how lucky I am to have Peeta in my life. 

I'm going to get ready. I say. All right I'm going to head to the hob to grab a few things. He says. Alright, bye I love you Peeta. Love you Kat, see you later.

*Peeta's Pov*

I head to the hob to pick up a ring I had the ring shop make a while ago. I'm going to ask Katniss to be my wife because I love her so much and want to be apart of her life forever. 

She is the most beautiful, strong, brave, and kind girl I know. 

She wouldn't agree but when I think of her that's all I think of. I also think of how stubborn she is.

I walk into the ring shop to pick up the ring I bought Katniss. " For Peeta Mellark. I say. Here you are sir. Have a great day. The man says. 

Thanks, you as well. 

I open up the box looking at the diamond band with a pearl on it. Not just any pearl. The pearl I gave Katniss during the quarter quell. 

She was going crazy looking for it but I know she'll love the ring. 

I also bought some flour from the hob because I needed some to make more bread. 

"Kat i'm home! I say."

  I suddenly hear her run down the stairs so quickly, and I get a little worried. I am relived when she embraces me tightly.

"I missed you". She says.

Kat I was only gone for 20 minutes. I laughed. 

I know, and that was way too long I had to be apart from my boy with the bread.  

Alright I'm going to go shower. I say pressing a kiss to her forehead. 

Okay I love you. She says. 

I love you Kat.

I hop in the shower wash my hair with some shampoo, and use a soap bar to clean my body. I hop out of the shower wrapping myself up in a towel and grab a black t-shirt and some jeans for tonight's dinner. I get dressed and I find Katniss doing her makeup on the bed. 

''She is so beautiful" I think.

Hey Peeta. She says. Hello Darling. I say. 

Why are you always wearing my t-shirts. I ask. They are so much more comfortable and they smell like you, and your can't stop me from wearing them. 

She says. 

Fine you can keep wearing them. I say acting annoyed.

We are leaving in 30 minutes Kat. I say. Okay I'll get changed. She says.

I walk downstairs waiting for her to get dressed, and fill a glass up with some water. I sip some water out of the cup, but then she walks downstairs and all the water just spills out of my mouth. 

I stare at her red strapless dress wrapped around her body for at least a minute straight. 

"Peeta stop staring. She says." 

Sorry I can't take my eyes off you, must be because you're too gorgeous. Okay whatever. She says, let's go. 

I laugh knowing I embarrass her and hold open the door. 

We walk to the fancy restaurant I booked tonight, and they seat us under a lit up grass arch with a pond next to us. 

Thank you I say. We both order our food and we talk while we wait for it to come. 

How is the Bakery coming along? She asks. Its starting to look really good we can have customers start coming in a month or two. 

That is amazing Peeta! She says. Yeah I'm really excited I say. Then our food comes out. We both Finnish our food and I know this is the perfect time to ask her. 

I get down on one knee and ask...

"Katniss Marie Everdeen" 

Will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?

She stares at me for at least 30 seconds in shock. I sit there very nervous. 

"This was a bad idea, it was way too soon, what was I thinking!" I say to myself. 

Then she finally says something

"Of course I'll marry you Peeta! 

I place the pearl ring on her finger and she notices the Pearl and starts to tear up and runs into my arms and I pick her up hugging her and spinning her around. 

"Soon she will officially be mine. 

"My girl on fire"
