(Skylar's POV)
Over a year had passed since we left Battery City. Cora and I had completely redone the record shop. She had reorganized the shop and apartment, and I spray painted the outside red, white, and blue.
Cora never really let me go out alone, she thought it would be safer to always be together. But, this time, she did let me go out alone.
I was sporting a Blink 182 tee, jean shorts, red tights, black knee-high boots, black fishnet gloves, and I dyed my black hair sun gold.
I was just walking around when I stumbled and slipped on loose rocks. I yelled in shocked.
"Shit..." I muttered. The rocks shifted and small ones fell. I tried to climb back up, but the fucking rocls were too loose. I locked down at the drop. It was about 6 foot down or so.
"Hey, you need a hand?" I heard a male voice ask from above.
"N-no, uh, I'm fine." I said, even though I clearly did need help.
"You sure?" He asked as he pulled me up.
"Erm, thanks..." I said quietly. I brushed my blonde bangs out of my eyes so I could see who was speaking to me.
He had bright red hair, he had bright hazel eyes hidden behind a yellow mask.
"So, you got a name?" He asked as he checked my arms and legs for injuries.
"Skylar Davis...." I muttered.
"Do you have a Killjoy name?" He asked. I hadn't heard the term Killjoy very often, so it was still a semi-strange word to me. And I didn't know that they had special names!! God, BL/ind really kept a lot from us.
"Uh, n-no sir..." I answered, embarrassed.
"No need to be so formal." He laughed. "My name's Party Poison."
Party Poison helped me up and walked me over to a diner not far away. It had an almost '70's feel to it, but it was nice.
"So, you don't have a Killjoy name yet?" Poison asked me. I shook my head.
"Hmm... Well, I dunno, 'Adrenaline' sounds cool, and 'Sunshine', cause your hair I guess." He shrugged.
"Adrenaline Sunshine..." I muttered under my breath. "I like it,"
