Jasmine POV

We are at one of Cain's hotels, sitting in a room with Lyric and a Black Dragon doctor.

"She does have a concussion, and the bullet wound will heal. She did pass out due to the loss of too much blood."

Kade cleared his throat, "So, how long should she be on bed rest?"

He looks at Kade as he puts his stuff up, "Two weeks tops, no shorter than a week and a half."

Zaiden stands up and looks at me, "Let's go. Nancy's coming."

I raise my eyebrow, "Why?"

He shrugs his shoulders, "Because I want her to. RB, you're coming. Carry Nancy and support me."

RB grunts and he stands beside Nancy.

"Carry Nancy? Support you? What's going on? RB, do you even know?"

RB shakes his head as I roll my eyes and look at Kade.

He walks up to me and kisses me on the lips, "Just go with the flow."

I scoff, "You sound just like Zaiden."

He wraps his arms around my shoulders, and we head towards the front door.

"What about Lyric? Who's going to watch her?"

Zaiden looks at me, and then we both look at Kade.

Kade shrugs his shoulders, "I don't mind keeping Lyric company."

Kade shows us a mocking smirk, "Maybe Lyric should become my comfort person. My platonic relationship with Lyric should be like Zaiden and Nancy's."

I look at Zaiden, and his eye twitch, "If I come back and see something I don't like, I will kill you."

Zaiden pulls me by the back of my shirt, and I let out a surprise squeal.

As we get in the car, Zaiden smiles ear to ear.

"Stop smiling. It's creepy."

He playfully taps my legs as I motion for the driver to go.

"It's going to be fun."

I look at RB and then back at Zaiden.

"So you're fine with RB around?"

He looks at RB, "Because I feel I can benefit from him."

RB gives him a thumbs up and grunts in agreement. He flexes his muscles, and Zaiden laughs, "Yep, you can protect Bunny and Nancy when I'm not around. Plus, you're a Russian bastard who may know something I need to know."

I cross my right leg over my left, "There's something else."

He taps my foot, "Why do you believe there's something else?"

I cross my arms and lightly kick his hand, "Because with you, there's always something else."

He leans back, and I raise my eyebrow, "Nothing to say?"

He shrugs his shoulders, "You and Kade are starting to know me a little too well."

I hum in response, "Well, we do have to understand each other."

An hour later, we are at the safe house.

I look at Zaiden, who is watching Nancy on her tablet.

He looks at me, "Go ahead. We'll be in a few."

I nod my head and step out of the car.

I walk in and head to the main room.

I enter the room, and as soon as I come in, I am embraced by my Mom. I groan as she tightens her grip, "Mommy, you're squeezing me too tight."
