Athlete from Lebanon tells the world who JESUS really was
Some beautiful dawah, by an athlete from Lebanon. How can such a small deed like what this Athlete did lead to Jannah?
The Messenger of Allah (upon him be blessings and peace) has ordered us to never take any good deed lightly. A good deed is never insignificant and hence should neither be passed up nor looked upon as trivial. We do not know in which deed lie the keys to our salvation. It may be that a deed we consider as small and insignificant is actually so pleasing to Allah (God) Almighty that He accepts it and in consequence, forgives all other shortcomings and mistakes of His servant.
We have heard the famous narration of a prostitute, who once saw a dog panting out of thirst, so she fed it water to quench it. Consequently, Allah (God) Almighty forgave her and brought about her reformation, all as a result of this seemingly small deed.
Benefit of Simple Deeds in this World and in the Hereafter
'Do not consider any kind act insignificant, even meeting your brother with a happy face." (Muslim)
Even the removing of an obstacle from the people's pathway is a great reward in the sight of Allah (God).
Prophet Muhammad PBUH said,
"A man passed by a fallen branch in the middle of the road and said, 'By Allah (God), I will remove this from the path so that it does not inconvenience people,' and he was admitted into the Garden." (Muslim)So let us not overlook any small deed as insignificant, since, if it is done sincerely and only for the pleasure of Allah (God), it can mean our attaining Jannah.
So when that next opportunity arises, to turn off the lights and the fans in the masjid on your way out, to close that dripping tap properly, to give someone your favorite Itr when he asks you for it, even though he may be the homeless man on the streets, or to pick up a strewn bottle on the pathway - just do it.
It could very well be your ticket to Jannah. Remember good intentions are always always understud by Allah so do not grieve if humans around you fail to understand that. Allah's pleasure leads us Jannah even with the smallest of deeds.
May Allah the Almighty Creator reward this Muslim Athlete with Jannah for doing something so simple and easy but yet so great and courageous.
May All the other Muslim Athlete's take this example and try their hardest to do Dawah using the celebrity status that they have to give back to Allah the one who gave them and us everything we have and his Deen of ISLAM.
