"I always thought Muslims are supposed to recite the Quran and perform their salah, this was their only obligation along with the other pillars of Islam. I would do all that and think I am good to go, this makes me a great Muslim. Later, when I learned more about Islam, it hit me hard. There was so much more to it. The stories in the Quran, every word that is used has some great details behind it. It's amazing how you just open the Qur'an and get answers to all your questions. I remember once I was really upset because I was longing to go for Umrah but there were some complications. I used to cry and my mom would reassure me. My sister told me, You'll go there whenever Allah invites you to His house. But this wouldn't satisfy me. I was sitting upset and just opened my Facebook, the first thing that popped up infront of me out of nowhere was the following verse,
"Don't be sad. Allah is with us. (9:40)"
I was astounded! Subhan Allah! Allah was talking to me directly. It was the best feeling. I can't express it in words. It was just a test of patience for me. Alhamdulillah I performed Umrah and I seriously can't describe it in words how beautiful it was.
I just want to tell everyone, there is one word that is sufficient to ease your pain, to encourage you, to remove stress, to hold on to life, to have faith, to move on, to be patient, to strive hard, to keep your hopes high, to expect more and to believe that everything will be just the way you want it to be - Tawakkul (Trusting in Allah's plans. Perfect trust and reliance on Him alone.)"by- Sonia Baluch
