<<Hey guuuuys, I hope you liked the previous chapter. Anyway, this is Faitsu's POV. And its about Rakutsu's gym battle and some things to catch up>>

After all that drama from yesterday, I feel so refreshed after taking a good ol' sleep and shower. I'm still a bit nervous with Ghetsis and whatever his plans may be but now we got the Champion and Rakutsu's real blood sister, Gray, (and not to mention their friends) dealing with it. Seeing their team, I think they could handle all the grunts of the syndicate.

And Christoph, well I had to make up my mind eventually. He was sweet and cute and caring and thoughtful and everything else good Hyuu wasn't. I think I am developing a .... crush on him. Oh, who wouldn't?! The bad side was I feel guilty about Hyuu but hey, we weren't a couple right? Christoph was secretive though and he rarely talks about himself or his family. But that's okay, we all have our private secrets.

Anyway, my brother (we still consider ourselves siblings. We're family and family doesn't get left behind) Rakutsu just asked me to support his challenge against Elesa, Nimbasa's supermodel gym leader. Gray was coming too (she took some sort of shore leave) and was impressed with Rakutsu's efforts with only one Pokémon in his team. Not to mention a water type.

What's more to Rakutsu's chain of unfortunate events is that he had to cross the catwalk looking like a lost Lillipup or something and challenge all these beautiful model trainers. He was good though, he was breezing past the models but had to use Potions and Cheri berries occasionally. Samurott was strong but I don't know the extent of Elesa's power.

"She's very, very good," Gray shouted to me. We needed to shout at each other because all these Elesa fans are screaming and fangirling/fanboying. "Best gym leader ever if you ask me. Don't tell that to anyone else, okay?"

I nodded.

"He's got that feisty daredevil genes from the family," she added as we watched Muro beat down an Elekid from the third and last model. As I looked at Muro, I saw the determination in his eyes like his trainer's but I saw some tiredness in his stance. Was Rakutsu pushing his own Pokémon to its limit?

"Not wise. Rushing into war with only one Pokémon," Gray said as she took notice of Muro.

After Rakutsu fed Muro with Potions, they proceeded to the center stage which was an arena. Spotlights focused on him and Elesa, the most beautiful person I had ever seen. Wasn't called "The Shining Beauty" for nothing.

"Welcome to the main stage, trainer. You're strong and resilient for someone who has the disadvantage," Elesa announced in a sing-song voice. "We're going to see whose star shines the brightest!"

She took out a Flaafy, who reminded me of my own Pokémon. Bubu was a Pignite now, after vigorous training in the desert and nearby training facilities available here in Nimbasa. Snow had evolved too, and now an adorable and strong Flaafy. Spike was strong as ever but a bit naughty. I offered to lend Spike to Rakutsu but he disagreed. Meh. Such pride, much wow.

Muro immediately moved in action, with incredible speed. Rakutsu had been training him to act faster than a water type would do. His efforts were not in vain.

"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOO RAKUTSUUUUUUU!!!!!" Gray and I screamed at the same time and helped in destroying some eardrums.

"Thunder Wave!" Elesa said.

"Dig!" Rakutsu countered, surprising me with a ground type attack. Wow. So he was capable of thinking after all, haha. Muro was able to dig through the ground with incredible speed, barely dodging the electric attack.

"You can't hide from the light," Elesa sort of smirked. "Flaafy, be attentive!"

I was waiting for some jumpscare to happen with all these tension. The ground was so calm it was impossible to think that a Samurott was hiding under it.
