36: Vengeance

<<Almost there... a few chapters to goooo... This is Faitsu's POV>>

We were almost at the cave entrance when something exploded from the inside. 

"What the heck was that?!!!" Hyuu said as cold draft blew to our faces.

 Everyone in the encampment turned around and somebody started barking orders as a team of medics rushed towards us.

"Arceus, Gray!" my brother's eyes widened in realization.

"Rakutsu, stop-" Hyuu tried to grab his arm before he took of running.

"Hey, you kids, stop!" an officer warned us but it was pretty much too late. We had already taken off towards the source of the explosion.

"Rakutsu, wait!!!" I screamed after my running brother. I know what he's probably feeling but the cave isn't really a safe place right now with some sort of bomb exploding! It could collapse the tunnels and we might get trapped!

Hyuu sprinted faster than I could follow. "Damn it, Rakutsu! Stop!" he managed to tackle my brother to the cavern floor.

"Get off me! Gray is inside! GET THE CRAP OFF ME!!!" he struggled against Hyuu's grip as they wrestled each other on the floor.

"Guys, STOP!" I shouted. "Rakutsu, calm down and listen!"

But Rakutsu kept struggling and somehow got free from Hyuu's metal grip. He started running off again. 

"DAMN IT!" Hyuu huffed as we chased him down again. It was now too dark to see anything so Hyuu had to use one of his handy flashlights. Few wild Pokémon darted past the boulders. Team Plasma and who knows what else might jump in from every corner.Oh Arceus, Rakutsu might trip and hit his head on these sharp stalactites! 

"RAKUTSU, WAIT!" my voice echoed to the cavern walls. Fortunately, nothing is collapsing. Yet. A few feet ahead of us, Rakutsu tripped on the rock and rolled on the rocky ground. 

"I told you to stop running!" I scolded him as Hyuu and I reached him. 

Suddenly, we saw a shape coming towards us. It was a female soldier from the UDF. 

"What the heck are you kids doing in here?! Civilians aren't allowed in this perimeter!" she warned. Now that we can see her with Hyuu's lights, her face was caked with dirt and some newly acquired scars.

"My sister!" Rakutsu panted. "Where is she?! Is she all right?! Was she involved with the explosion?!"

The soldier's eyes turned from angry to guilty. Oh, Arceus. 

"I'm sorry but-"

My brother growled, tears already falling and sliding down his cheek. On that moment, I wanted to cry, too. I wanted to cry and embrace Rakutsu, who just found his family again. 

"We're not sure!" the soldier started guiltily. "Your sister and one of ours might still be alive on the other side for all we know! That's why I'm sending for backups! This is a job for adults and professionals and you, kids, are not allowed in here! Now please, return to the surface or you might get killed or compromise the mission!"

Hyuu stared at her with cold eyes. "No," he said. "I'm never going to back down from Team Plasma again."

Before anyone could reply or second what Hyuu said, Rakutsu stood up and continued running.

"HEY!" the female soldier shouted.

"I'm sorry," I told her as Hyuu and I followed my brother into the mazes of the Giant Chasm.
