<<Bum bum bumbumbum... N's POV>>

"Father!" I growled and wrestled the knife away from my adoptive parent's grip.

"Ha-ha-ha," he laughed maniacally, blood lust reflected in his eyes. Then, he started crying and lay in a fetal position on the cavern ground. Clearly, my father had lost his sanity.

"Gray, you have to stay with me!" Black said, trying to stop my friend's wound from bleeding out.

"Gray!" a young boy's voice came from above. I looked up to see three trainers riding on a Flygon. A brown-haired boy hastily jumped to the ground and ran towards her.

"Oh no..." the brown-haired girl, who I recognize as one of Team Plasma's youngest members two years ago, gasped while the boy with the wild, dark hair clenched his fists.

"Her wound... She's fading away..." I said as I knelt beside my friend. Her stormy eyes were focused on the two brunette boys.

"Arceus, what do we do?!" Black replied in frustration. "Wait... I remember something! Her aunt... She was in the same position as Gray's now! And they used ice and frost to keep her in cryogenic stasis! Maybe... Maybe..." he checked his Poké Balls.

"For the love of Giratina, I don't have any Ice-types!" the brunette boy with gray eyes said desperately.

"Heh, heh," Gray managed to laugh. "Beat... Team Plasma ag- again, huh."

The sounds of the war outside echoed inside the cavern. Nearby, some water droplets fell from the stalactites and fell on a puddle. I could only watch one of the few noble humans I know fade away.

"Maybe there's some Ice-types outside!" the gray-eyed boy rose to run outside but Gray grabbed him weakly before he could run.

"I'm proud of you Rakutsu. You too, Faitsu and Hyuu," she gave a grin similar to that of Black. "And Black. Heh. I wish we had more-" she coughed and I swear I saw a hint of red blood taint her teeth. "-time."

"Screw you, Gray! Stop saying things like that!"

I felt something in my chest. It was a heavy feeling, laced in pain. Some time ago, my father told me that I do not possess a human heart. These people have shown me and taught me a lot of goodness that could come from my heart. It was another formula that I will not be able to solve, even with all the knowledge in the world. I looked away and saw the weakened Kyurem, breathing heavily. It was barely conscious.

Ice Pokémon...

"Kyurem!" I said. "It can generate powerful, freezing energy! Perhaps... it will be able to save Gray!"

"How can we make that dragon help us?" the boy who I can conclude is Hyuu, expressed doubtfully.

"I shall," I stood up. "Maybe I can use my gift once more to save a life of a friend."

'A foolish idea,' the recovered Zekrom commented in a deep voice.

'That is true,' Reshiram added, its voice completely different and more feminine than the Dragon of Ideals.

'I have no choice. Sometimes, one must dare to defy dangers to save someone,' I replied as I walked towards Kyurem. Its empty, yellow eyes landed on mine. Already, I could feel the cold radiating off its body.

'Ah, the Hero of Ideals seeks for my help,' it replied huskily.

'I ask humbly, empty one.'

'And why should I?'

I could not reply as the bright glare of its eyes bore down on me, like heavy weight upon my shoulders.

'This one... The dying human... I could sense that she can fill my emptiness, even for a bit. She believes in the truth and seeks out her ideals more so than any of the others I have encountered,' Kyurem heaved. 'Very well, I shall encase her in my frost.'
