<<Gray's POV>>

I actually thought that getting inside the Giant Chasm would be pretty easy. And then I remembered that this was Team Plasma and Team Plasma always has a way to annoy you or slow you down. Our plan was to let the Air Support dive inside the central cave of the Giant Chasm while the rest of the military with Black will barge in the Plasma Frigate and defeat Kyurem. But guess what?! Oh Team Plasma covered the Giant Chasm in a dome-like ice structure with the main cave entrance as the only way in.

"But isn't this good, too?" Black said. "I mean, it's their only way out so no more sneaky escapes, right?"

"It's Team Plasma we're talking about. They've got those shadow ninjas and all. Who knows, maybe they even have that drill they used two years ago," Cheren, who had joined us in the fight being a gym leader and all, said.

"We'll follow them to the ground if we have to!" Bianca, who also wants to participate (but really, I think she's doing this for Professor Juniper's crazy researches), added enthusiastically.

White shivered beside me. "Okay, I'll leave that underground thingy with you, guys."

I laughed. Aw, it's nice to have everyone back like old times. Sure, we changed over those two years but it's really good to spend time with old friends. Unfortunately, our reunion includes fighting Team Plasma.

For a second, as I looked at the smiling faces of my friends, I felt a sense of fear. Not fear of Team Plasma, I'm pretty sure about that. But fear for... well, loss. What if... no, nope, I won't think about that.

"Officer Gray!" my thoughts were interrupted by Looker. "Will you be willing to join the first recon team inside those caves? Since we really are in a disadvantage here..."

I glanced at my friends who stopped laughing. Always a soldier first. "Of course, sir."

Before I head to the small commanding tent the UDF and IP built, I walked towards Black. Now I get why he's so gitty with drama with dying and everything. Shiny, who was beside me, gave a squeak of support.

"Hey," I said. I can't believe I scolded Black days ago for saying this when I'M going to say this too. "If, you know, THAT happens, I need you to take care of Rakutsu for me, okay? I know he's basically a teenager but you know how crazy we decide things. And please take care of my Pokémon-"

"Really, Gray?" Black replied. "You scolded me for saying-"

"YES. I know, I know. But you can't be too sure..."

"Hey, you can't just die on me and your brother!"

"Of course I won't!"

"Besides, you still owe me a Castelia Cone, remember? You pinky swore!" he said, puffing out like a kid deprived of an hour of television. Then his face turned really serious. DEAD SERIOUS. "And I won't leave you behind. Ever. We're in this together now, Gray. There will be no pushing me away. You push me, I'll grab you and pin you to the wall if I have to!"

Survival instincts took control. "TRY TO PIN ME TO A WALL AND I'LL PIN YOUR FACE TO A CHAINSAW!"

"Of course, you will," he grinned sheepishly.

<<Rakutsu's POV>>

"Take care, okay?" Gray reminded me over and over again.

"Only if you take care of yourself, too, sis!" I said. She looked pretty troubled. Well, everyone else here, including me, is. We've been together in less than a year but I felt we've known each other since forever. Well, family takes care of each other, right?
