<<Hyuu's POV>>

"Metal Claw!" 

"Confuse Ray!"

"Dodge it and Metal Claw again!"

"Ice Beam!"

My Empoleon and Zinzolin's Cryogonal danced in the frozen Opelucid streets. He may have the upper hand but I won't let him get past the gym!

"Persistent, aren't you?!" Zinzolin growled. "Confuse Ray!" the psychic move hit my Empoleon, confusing him. 

"Focus, Empoleon!" I said. "Use Scald!"

Empoleon released a jet of boiling water. However, his confused state misdirected the attack and just managed to hit one of Cryogonal's 'branches'. 

"Use Ice Beam!" the Cryogonal blasted a ray of ice to Empoleon who was too confused to see the attack coming. My Pokémon also slipped on the ice, giving more damage. 

"Hang in there!" I cursed under my breath. "Another Scald!"

Luckily, Empoleon snapped out of his confusion and critically hit Cryogonal right in its face. Serves that a-hole right.

"You are really getting under my skin!" Zinzolin screamed as he released his next Pokémon: Weavile. "Lord Ghetsis will make sure that you and your kind are eliminated!"

"Whatever," I snapped. "I don't give a crap about Team Plasma's opinion! Empoleon, use Scald again!"

Weavile was fast and easily dodged Empoleon's attack. It dashed off towards us and gave my Pokémon a good scratch in the face. He's gonna pay for that.

"You want scratches?! Empoleon, use Metal Claw!" my Pokémon scratched back and hit Weavile's chest.

"Night Slash!" Zinzolin countered. The Weavile merged with the shadows and stealthily attacked Empoleon.

"Lock on the target!" I said as Empoleon started to test Weavile's speed. When it came close enough for another attack, Empoleon used Hydro Pump, hitting the enemy critically and sending it flying to one of the frozen wall of ice. We wasted no time as Empoleon landed another critical Scald.

"Let's not waste time, shall we?" I walked towards the shivering Zinzolin. I'm sending this punk to jail. Let him freeze to death there. "Tell me, where is the location of the stolen Purrloin from Aspertia City years ago?!"

"Hah, like I would tell you!" Zinzolin gave me a smirk. I'M GONNA KILL THIS GUY.

"Fine then! Bad cops can be very persuasive!" I said as I produced a stunner from my pocket. "Not to mention on terrorists!"

Up above, the Plasma Frigate started moving. The DNA splicers are intact inside the gym but why are they leaving?! And where are the Air Support?! Don't tell me, they're gonna be late again! I forced the urge to punch Zinzolin as he smirked.

"JUST WHAT ARE YOU-"

Suddenly, I felt movement behind me. The next thing I know was that I was lying on the icy ground with my arm and back hurting.

"JUST WHAT THE-"

Zinzolin and one shady guy, a Shadow Triad possibly, was standing right in front of me. Zinzolin was smiling at me with glee in his eyes while the Shadow Triad guy stared at me with disdain.

"Haha, as we suspected..." Zinzolin laughed. "Nice work, I knew we could count on your stealth in this mission."

The Shadow Triad guy said nothing as he gave him some sort of glass case. Inside was a weird object with triangular shapes. I've never seen anything like that before. It could be a biochemical weapon or some sort. Whatever. I'm going to stop Team Plasma no matter what!

I started to stand up when the Shadow ninja moved again. I didn't even see him coming as he kicked me back down. Crap! This guy is strong...

"The DNA Splicers are in our hands now. We don't have the ability to captivate the hearts of others like Lord N does. Instead, we will bend people to our will with brute force. Two years was a surprisingly long wait," Zinzolin said as two other Shadow Triad guys appeared from thin air.

"Nevertheless, we will accomplish our goals. Team Plasma would be waiting for you and this time, we will win," before I could order my Pokémon to attack, they disappeared. 

<<Faitsu's POV>>

"Oh no, they're leaving!" White said as we watched the Plasma Frigate set sail.

"We already know where they're going," Leader Skyla replied. "So we're going to fight our way there."

Can we do it though? Can we eliminate Team Plasma permanently this time? And what was the object they were searching for in Opelucid?

"Faitsu!" Christoph woke me up in my daydream. "Your XTransceiver is ringing!"

"Oh!" I answered it. I saw Hyuu, Rakutsu and Gray's video feed in the screen. They look troubled. Oh Arceus, what happened?

"The DNA Splicers are gone! I screwed up! Zinzolin and the Shadow Triad took it!" Hyuu announced.

"Damn it! That's probably why those grunts teleported back!" Gray said. "We have to get to the Giant Chasm fast! Who knows what else is Team Plasma planning!"

"I've got to tell Drayden!" Rakutsu answered.

"Do we pursue them?" I ask. "I'm with Skyla, White and Christoph, we've got a plane! We can catch them in time..."

"No, don't!" Gray warned. "You don't know what's waiting for you inside! They could have an army with them to take this kind of risk..."

"Besides, you can get blasted by those ice cannons. They seem to have improved it since last time..." Rakutsu added. "But how about Black?!"

"I'm not sure!" the Champion's face appeared in Gray's video feed. "I don't know if we can take the whole ship by ourselves. I'm sorry but I don't know!"

"We have to defeat Kyurem first," I said. "Kyurem is its main source of power. Without Kyurem, Team Plasma's cannons would be useless."

"And they've got controlled Pokémon!" Rakutsu said. "We have to destroy whatever gadget Colress uses to control them!"

"We need to be prepared for this," Gray said. "We can't fight them now. We've got to join forces with the Air Support, Gym Leaders and Elite Four. Together, we can fight them back."

"This is war."

<<Rakutsu's POV>>

It's funny if you think about it.

Here we are, in a plane heading towards the Giant Chasm, about to join the battle against Team Plasma and the legendary ice with the Unova Champion and the Gym Leaders and the Elite Four and the International Police and Unova's Defense Force. I just found my long lost sister and met the Dragon of Truth Reshiram. Back then, a few months ago, Faitsu and I were just watching some corny television show while eating popcorn back home in Aspertia City. I never would have expected something like this would happen.

It's funny how things change in just a short period of time. In a minute you have something and the next minute, you don't. Change is the only thing permanent in this world.

At the same time, it's kind of sad too.

Things come and go by and people do too. And with war? Well, it's much worse.

Yes, I'm scared. People are afraid of change.

As I think right here on my seat, I worry. And worry. And worry.

Because you never know if you'll lose someone. Or maybe lose yourself.
