32: The Beginning of the End

<<A/N: Hey haha. I know things are pretty silent and mellow on the last couple of chapters but really, this is going to be the last silent chapter ever, so bear with me.>>

<<Rakutsu's POV>>

We already reached Icirrus City through a shortcut in Twist Mountain. It was a cold place, especially in winter. Wild Pokémon played everywhere and we had to cross frozen ponds to reach the town. It looked like a serene place for a Hero of Ideals to stay in. But right now, my priority is getting to one of those cozy cottages and remove ice from my shoes.

 I was in the middle of crossing a frozen pond when the XTransceiver called, revealing good news. VERY GOOD NEWS.

And no, it wasn't about a 50% sale on Pokémon Centers. And it wasn't a free entry to a comic convention or a lottery win or something like that.

"Rakutsu!" my foster sister screamed through the speakers.

"Arceus, Faitsu is that you?!" I fought the urge to jump because jumping on a frozen lake is not really a smart idea. "Mother of Arceus, are you all right?!"

In the screen, I could see Faitsu crying. "Yes, yes, I'm all right now."

"Where the heck are you?!"

"I'm in Castelia now. David and White are with me. We've reported the incident to the IP and UDF!"

"What did they do to you?! How did you escape?!" I swear on my life, I'm going to dump Colress' face in the Castelia sewers because of what he did to my twin!

"Hey," Black came out from his bathroom break. "What's happening?"

"Is that Champion Black?" Faitsu asked. "I've got to tell him something! It's about Team Plasma whereabouts and their plans!"

"Okay, okay, why don't you start at the beginning?"

<<Hyuu's POV>>

"And that's why you need to get to Leader Marlon at once!" Gray explained after a call from Black and the escaped Faitsu in the XTransceiver. "He's the best person you can ask about the sea. I'm sure he'll know the perfect place where Team Plasma hides!"

I nodded as I plotted a route on my digital map. I'm pretty glad that Faitsu managed to escape and reveal the enemy's hideout. Oh, we're gonna kick their asses, alright. Kidnapping my sister's Purrloin and my friend like that!

After getting my stuff, I raced to the Marine Tube, the walk-through aquarium that connects Undella Town and Humilau City. On normal days, I would have taken my time strolling in the tourist attraction, but now's not the time to dilly-dally!

I tried to ignore the beautiful underwater scene in the Marine Tube, the Pokémon pleasantly swimming and staring at us. Soon, I had arrived on Humilau City. After memorizing the local map provided by the gate, I dashed off to the Humilau Gym.

"Ah a challenger!" a tall, tanned guy with blue hair who looked more like a surfer than a gym leader said.

I was about to point out that I'm just a messenger boy but nah. I need to get stronger to fight against Team Plasma's legendary Pokémon Kyurem!

"Let's get this over with!" I jumped on lily pads to reach Marlon.

"Excited, aren't ya?," Marlon laughed. "Okay, dude, ready when you are!" he took out a Carracosta.

"Empoleon, Metal Claw!" I took out my new Pokémon who wasted no time. However, even with its steel type weakness, the Carracosta was barely damaged. According to the Pokédex, Carracosta's shell is one of the hardest material ever.
