Derek's POV

It's been a week since the full moon.

It's been a week since Kylie came back into my life.

I didn't realize how dull things were without her until she was gone.

I still have shit to deal with, but it's better when she's around.

Scott and Kylie started training in my apartment again and Kylie has definitely shown a lot of improvement from training with Scott, so I let them train together while I watch and give pointers.

While I do help with Kylie's training, it is a great excuse to just look at her.

Her body is perfect. Her curves are timeless. Her hair glows even when there's no light. Her face is a work of art. Every time she laughs I get goosebumps.

I am completely infatuated with this woman.

Not to mention how she's starting to kick Scott's ass. That's a bonus.

"Damn, Kylie, those punches are really starting to hurt." said Scott.

"Sorry, you wanted me to get stronger." replied Kylie.

Kylie was basically running circles around Scott at this point.

Kylie smiled at me, then said, "Let's take a break, I have to text my sisters and let them know I'm going to be home a little late." She walked out of the room to find her phone.

Scott walked over to me and slumped down on the floor, "I think she'll be able to handle herself if anything happens."

I smiled and replied, "Yeah, I think so, too."

"You seem... happier. Did you get a girlfriend or something?" asked Scott.

"Something like that."

Kylie came running back into the training room, tears were starting to fall down her cheeks.

"Derek, can you please take me to the hospital right now? Emily was in a car accident."

-------------

As soon as we arrived at the hospital, Kylie rushed out of my car and ran inside demanding to know where Emily was.

As soon as she found out, she ran through the halls into her room.

"Emily! Oh my god, are you okay?" Kylie exclaimed.

"Hey Ky," Emily groaned as she shifted up in the hospital bed, "I'm a little beat up, to be honest."

"Tell me what happened." I'd never seen Kylie so worried in her life. I've never seen her cry. I've never heard her heart race so much. Until now.

"I was driving to my friend Jessica's, then all of a sudden this animal jumped in front of my car. The airbags went off and everything. I was so scared, Ky." Emily explained.

"It's okay, I'm here now. Everything is going to be okay. Jax is on her way from work right now." Kylie moved away some hair from Emily's face and kissed her forehead.

"I- I don't know if I have a concussion, but the animal was like nothing I've ever seen before. It was massive. I swear it could've come out of a horror movie. It's eyes were deep red."

I watched as Kylie stiffened. My hands were now in fists and my nails were digging into my palms.

"And what's even crazier, it looked like it wanted me to hit it. Then, it just ran off into the forest."

Kylie turned to look at me. Her eyes flashed purple for a moment before she looked back at her sister.

"Emily, you're okay now. We'll get through this."

-------------

Kylie's sister, Jax finally arrived at the hospital twenty minutes later. As soon as she came into the room, Kylie excused us so we could talk in the hallway.

"I am going to kill that son of a bitch, even if it's the last thing I do." Kylie was starting to shake with rage.

I grabbed her arm and said, "He knows who you are. He knows what you are. We'll figure this out."

"He tried to kill my sister. He tried to kill my innocent little sister all because I won't join his stupid pack."

I sighed, "Now that he knows what you are, he's going to stop at nothing until you're in his pack."

Kylie's phone buzzed and she reached to get it out of her pocket. As she read the message she had received, her face dropped.

I took the phone out of her hands to read.

Unknown:

Meet me at the former Hale residence tonight and I'll leave the other sister alone.

-----------

After Kylie made sure Emily was feeling okay, we left the hospital.

Kylie was determined to put an end to my uncle.

On the way back, Kylie told everyone to meet at my apartment to help. When we got there, they were all waiting.

We hadn't properly filled Kylie in about Peter. So, that's where we started.

From terrorizing Beacon Hills, to haunting Lydia, to being resurrected.

Somehow he had managed to once again become and alpha.

"I'm stronger now. He won't be able to manipulate me into resurrecting him again." stated Lydia.

"What are his weaknesses?" Kylie asked.

"Well, besides him talking too much and making a show of everything, not much." Stiles added.

"Kylie, we'll all be there to help. This shouldn't be an issue." Scott said trying to comfort her.

"It's not Peter I'm worried about. It's everything else. What if he has some sort of pack? What if he goes against his word and hurts my sisters? What if I'm not strong enough?"

"You are strong enough, you've been kicking Scott's ass for the past two weeks." I stated.

"Not overly." Scott said as he turned to Allison.

Kylie stared off into space for a few moments before saying, "My guides, they're talking to me." She paused to listen, "They said that this is the first obstacle in keeping peace. That I will gain something valuable from this."

"What does that mean?" I asked.

She stood up and said, "I'm not sure, but I think I'm ready."
