When I got back to the hotel, I plopped down on the pull out couch and my heart was racing.
He wants to try.
I'm still going to make his life hell in some way.
And I think I know exactly how.
-----------
Allison and Lydia woke up around noon the next day. They asked what ended up happening after they left.
I just said I ran into another guy and we talked all night.
I know they're my friends and I should tell them, but I know how Derek is and I don't want to spook him with a bunch of 17 year olds bombarding him with questions.
I really, really want this to work.
We all packed our bags and headed back to Beacon Hills.
I couldn't wait to see how everything played out.
----------
When I got home, I was expecting to go to my room and catch up on some sleep.
Jax had other plans.
"Who's the boy?" she cornered me before I could make it to the stairs.
"What's got your panties in a twist?" I retorted.
"Don't play stupid with me, Kylie Marie Graham, who's the boy you just spent the weekend with?"
Oh shit, she used my full name.
"Jax, I promise you I wasn't staying with a boy this weekend. Plus, I'm 20 years old, you don't have to 'mom' me."
Jax tapped her foot and crossed her arms. I rolled my eyes and pulled out my phone to show her pictures of Allison, Lydia, and I at our hotel.
She sighed, "I'm sorry, Ky. It's just, you used to tell us everything. Lately you've been out and about doing god knows what. Also, I know there's still a boy, I can see it in your eyes."
"So... do you remember Derek?"
------------
I told Jax everything. Well, not everything. I left out the whole werewolf thing, but I told her about Derek. I also had to manipulate some stories so she wouldn't ask too many questions.
"I knew there was something going on with him. He's hot."
Thanks Jax, I know.
Finally, I was able to go into my room and unpack. As soon as I finished, I jumped onto my bed and sighed. Oh, how I missed my bed.
Then, I got a text message.
I swear to god, I just sat down.
Unknown:
We know what you are.
My heart started pounding. What does that mean? Do they know about everyone, or just me?
I stared at the message for about five minutes before I decided I was thinking too much into it. I placed my phone on the bedside table and drifted to sleep.
-----------
I woke up to a knocking sound.
I looked around my room until my eyes landed on my window and a familiar pair of green eyes was staring back at me.
I walked over to open it.
"You know, I have a door... and a phone." I said, partially annoyed.
"I just wanted to see you." Derek replied.
