Kylie's POV
We all arrived at Derek's old house. After all this time in Beacon Hills, this is the first time I've seen it.
I can almost imagine what it was like before the fire.
Before a family was killed and Derek's innocence was taken from him.
That thought alone could send me into a frenzy, but I had to save that for another time.
Isaac, Scott, and Derek followed me here, but they're staying hidden for now.
I stood outside of the burned house and yelled, "I'm here, let's talk."
The front door slowly opened and Peter walked down the stairs.
"Kylie, we have to stop meeting like this."
"Leave my family out of this." I threatened through my teeth.
"Oh, but Kylie, how else would I get your attention? When I asked you to join my pack, I didn't even know how much of a rarity you would actually be. A Luna, isn't that something." Peter began to walk in a circle around me. Like a predator and it's prey. "I've done my research on you. Did you know, it is possible for a Luna to submit to an alpha? Isn't that wonderful?" Peter flashed an eery smile.
"Do not give in." Kyma whispered into my mind.
Peter continued, "Now, we can make this a very easy process. You agree to join my pack and we don't have to go through all of this senseless fighting."
"Trust in your abilities, Kylie." I heard Benjamin in my mind.
"I'd rather die than join you."
"Well, you said it." Peter began to morph into his alpha form. It's just as terrifying as I remember it. It's not quite similar enough to an actual wolf, which makes it all the more unsettling. His eyes were like lasers focused on a target. His teeth out of a horror movie. The sheer size of him alone could send someone into shock.
I felt myself shift into my werewolf form. My purple irises blaring from my eyes.
Peter began to run towards me. I tackled him from the left and managed to lay a deep scratch on his chest. He growled in pain, but immediately jumped back up to attack me.
Peter charged for me, grabbed me, and threw me into a tree.
Scott was right, this is so much worse than fighting him.
I got back up and Peter glared at me from about fifteen feet away, he charged at me again. This time, he tried to bite my right arm. I kicked him in the jaw and managed to scratch him even deeper then before. I jumped on Peter's back and tried to reach his neck. Before I could, he howled into the sky.
Before I know it, I'm being thrown off of Peter by three more werewolves.
Shit.
Peter lunged for me again before I could find my footing.
Scott threw Peter just before I was caught off guard.
"You take Peter, we'll take the rest." he huffed out.
I nodded and ran to where Peter was rising.
I jumped over him and slid my claws down his back. His injuries weren't healing, so I was slowly weakening him.
I landed and looked up at him.
"JOIN. MY. PACK." he barked.
A roar erupted from me in response. It caused Peter's three pack members to hesitate and gave Isaac, Derek, and Scott the upper hand.
I charged for Peter again, but he swung his arm just as I was about to punch him and he pinned me to the ground.
"If you won't join me, I'm going to make you watch as I slit both of your sister's throats."
I tried to wiggle out of his grasp, but I couldn't move.
"Then, I'm going to torture you until you beg me to join the pack."
"Go to hell." I spat. I kicked Peter's stomach with my feet and sent him tumbling backwards. I quickly back onto my feet.
Peter and I were circling each other. I caught glimpses of Isaac, Scott, and Derek fighting. They were struggling. I needed to end this, now.
Peter snarled at me like a rabid dog. I was thinking of ways I could kill him. I remembered if I got onto his back, he couldn't shake me off. The only reason it didn't work before was because of the other wolves.
I looked around. I had an idea.
I ran straight towards Peter right until I was just out of his grasp. Then, I pivoted my footing to run towards the tree to his left. I jumped up and pushed off of the tree.
I flew over Peter's head, onto his back.
Peter started running.
While he ran, he smashed into every tree around us trying to shake me off.
I dug my claws further into his back, he growled in response.
I climbed until I had my hands around his throat. Peter clawed my arms raw while I leaned down and whispered, "Have fun in hell."
I drug my claws across Peter's throat. I ripped everything clean out.
Blood sprayed everywhere across the ground.
I jumped off of Peter's back as he skid onto the ground lifeless.
I turned back around to see my three friends still fighting.
I conjured up an otherworldly howl and headed straight towards them.
Peter's pack members scurried and I chased them down, one by one.
I showed them mercy, I didn't kill them. But my cuts don't heal as fast as they're used to, and I made them aware of that.
I walked back to where Derek, Isaac, and Scott were waiting for me.
I walked over to Peter's corpse and dragged it over near the front porch of the Hale family home. Then, Scott handed me the matches and small gas can I told him to bring earlier.
I doused Peter in gasoline, lit a match, and set him on fire.
I watched as he burned. In a way, I feel bad. Taking someone's life is not something to be taken lightly.
Then I remembered my sister. I remembered hearing about the countless people he hurt trying to seek revenge. Innocent people dying just because of an agenda Peter had deemed right.
I thought about how many people I may have saved from this lifestyle and the toll that it takes on every aspect of a person's life.
Then, I looked to the moon. I felt as if she was telling me that I had done right by her, that I should rest and prepare for whatever I may run into next.
I turned to my friends. They looked at me as if they were waiting for me to say something. I couldn't think of anything to say.
I walked towards Derek, I looked into his eyes, hoping I would find a resolution. But, the answer I needed does not lie within him, but within myself.
I turned and walked into the forest. I needed to breathe.
