Season 2:

It's been about 2 months since I defeated Peter.

It's been two months of Derek and I dating.

It's bittersweet in a way. I'm still trying to adjust to this lifestyle; being the Luna, training... staying up late at Derek's apartment.

Not to mention I graduate in about 3 weeks.

I've always wanted to go to college, but my life has other plans for me right now.

I got out of bed and got ready for the day. It's a Saturday.

It's also my twenty-first birthday.

Growing up, I was always older than almost everyone in my class. Now I'm definitely the oldest person in my class.

I got out of bed and got ready for the day. I have plans with Jax and Derek to celebrate later, since they're the only people I really know that can go to bars with me.

I walked downstairs and all of the lights were off. Which is strange because it's almost noon.

I called out for Jax and Emily, but received no response. I rounded the corner of the dining room and jumped when the lights suddenly turned on.

"Happy birthday!" Jax and Emily yelled out in unison.

There were decorations scattered around the walls. On the table, they had made a sort of pancake bar for me. It was perfect.

"Aw, thanks guys! I love you both, so much." I grabbed both of my sisters and pulled them into a hug.

"Do you want a mimosa with your breakfast?" Jax asked.

"One won't hurt, right?"

-------------

Okay, it's never just one mimosa.

We finished up eating breakfast and started to clean up, when there was a knock on the door.

Jax told me to answer, while her and Emily finished cleaning up.

I walked over to the door and opened it to find Derek holding balloons and a small wrapped present.

"Happy birthday, beautiful" he sung with a smile.

I reached out to hug him and pulled back with a peck on his lips.

He walked inside and Emily offered him some pancakes, which he happily accepted.

While he was eating, he said, "Open your present."

I unwrapped the gift and opened up the small box to see a gold necklace. It had three gemstone on the pendant.

I inspected it and turned the gemstones over to find an engraving on the back. 'D+K'.

"Derek, it's beautiful. Thank you."

He nodded and smiled, then proceeded to help me put it on.

"So, what are your plans until we go out, Ky?" Jax asked from the kitchen.

"I'm not really sure yet. I might catch up on some homework." I replied.

I had found out about a week ago that I was the front runner for valedictorian of my class. I didn't want to mess that up this far into the year.

"Ky, screw your homework. You only turn twenty-one once." Emily said to me with a raised eyebrow. "How about this, I don't have anything to do until around 6:30. Why don't we go shopping?"

I nodded, "Sure, we could do that."

"Hate to break it to you girls, but I need the car for the day. I have to run some errands." Jax said.

"I can drive you both." Derek offered.

I looked at him with a shocked expression. Oh this is going to be fun.

------------

I somehow convinced Derek to let me drive his car. He couldn't say no because it's my birthday, bitches!!!

I put on some of my favorite music and maybe had a little too much fun driving fast. Derek looked terrified as he held onto the dashboard, while Emily was laughing in the back.

We arrived at the mall and Emily dragged my by the arm into stores. Derek followed along. I could tell he wasn't having the greatest time, but I rarely get moments like this with my sisters recently. I kept apologizing profusely to him, but each time he would smile and say, "Stop apologizing, I like seeing you happy."

Emily informed us that she had forgotten her purse in a dressing room on the opposite end of the mall, so Derek and I walked into the store and I picked up some things to try on.

I walked into the dressing room and put on a beautiful red top. It was sleeveless and had a low straight neckline that really accentuated the girls. It the fabric sat low enough on my stomach that it would be cute with some low rise pants. As I was examining how it fit, the door to my dressing room opened and I was met with my favorite pair green eyes.

He looked me up and down, grabbed my face and then kissed me softly.

"That looks great on you, but it would look even better on the floor." Derek growled in between kisses.

"Easy, tiger. As much as I would love to watch us in this mirror, my sister will be back any second."

He rolled his eyes, kissed me on the forehead, and left the dressing room.

That man could say anything and I would be turned on.

We finally grabbed at bite to eat in the food court and then headed back towards my house. This time I didn't drive as fast because Derek had behaved at the mall.

Derek motioned for me to turn the music down and asked, "Lydia said she had something for me to look over for her. Do you mind if we swing by really quick?"

I nodded and changed my route towards Lydia's house. Now that I was thinking about it, my friends were radio silent today. No happy birthday wishes. I shook off the thought and kept driving.

-------------

"Come inside, Lydia said she has a present for you." Derek said.

I turned off the car and handed Derek his keys then made my way to Lydia's door.

Derek just opened it and walked in. That's strange.

As soon as I entered, I saw all of my friends jump out and yell, "Surprise!"

I started laughing and they all came over to hug me. In between greeting everyone, I turned to Derek and said "You'd think I would be able to sense everyone in the house by now."

He laughed, then Jax came over and handed me a drink. I guess we're starting the party at 6 P.M.

-------------

The party was great. Eventually, Lydia and Allison ushered me upstairs to get ready. They did my makeup and my hair for me and thankfully I had an outfit that I bought earlier from the mall.

After a couple of hours of mingling, Jax, Derek, and I left to go out. My friends stayed behind to hang out. My youngest sister was our chauffeur for the evening.

I don't remember too much from the bars. I was so excited that I was (legally) able to be here that I may have overestimated how much I could drink.

Emily and Jax dropped Derek and I off at his place. I really wanted him, but my body had other plans.

I ate some food then almost immediately ran into the bathroom to throw it all back up. Derek ran in with a glass of water and graciously held my hair back.

I drunkenly asked, "Is this hot? Do you still love me?"

He snorted, then replied, "You are still the sexiest woman to me. Even when you're throwing up."

He is perfect.
