JENNIE
Nothing could have ever prepared me for this war. No amount of training, no hours spent honing my skills could ever shield me from the horror I now face. The lifeless bodies, the rivers of blood, the endless screams-it's a nightmare I never wish to witness again. Each passing moment here feels like I'm losing fragments of my sanity.

When we first arrived at the heart of Gardenia, the sight before me was almost too much to bear. Friends, teachers and classmates all gone. Their bodies lay motionless, blood mingling with the dust, their last tears staining the ground. We were to late. If only we had come sooner..maybe we could have saved them.

These monsters are the fiercest I've ever encountered, stronger than anything we've faced before. As I stand with the knights and my friends by my side, I know there's still hope. Together, perhaps we can reclaim what's been lost.

I stepped forward, the ground beneath me vibrating with the monstrous approach. My heart thundered in my chest, but I silenced the sound. There was no time for fear now. Only survival.

The first creature lunged from the shadows—dark, twisted flesh that writhed and pulsed like a nightmare come to life. Its claws gleamed under the dying light, slicing through the air toward me. I raised my arm, and with a thought, a shield of golden light blazed to life, absorbing the blow and sending the beast staggering back, hissing.

I didn't hesitate. In one swift motion, I reached for my blade, the hilt fitting perfectly in my grip. Flames erupted along the length of the blade as I whispered an incantation, the fire casting a fierce glow across the battlefield. I darted forward, the heat from the flames melding with my fury. I swung the blade in an arc, slicing through the creature's twisted arm, watching it recoil as the fire licked its corrupted flesh.

Another monster came from my left, but this time I was ready. With a flick of my wrist, a ball of fire burst from my palm, colliding with the creature's chest in a blinding flash. It screeched and stumbled, its skin charring and curling beneath the blaze.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw three more enemies closing in. These things fought like a swarm, using their sheer numbers to overwhelm. I had to stay sharp. I braced myself, gathering my power. In a rush of energy, I created a dome of golden light around me, just as they struck. Their claws scraped uselessly against the barrier, and with a fierce growl, I released the shield, sending a shockwave that flung them back.

But they kept coming. I could feel the weight of exhaustion creeping into my limbs, but I pushed it back, summoning every ounce of strength I had left. Drawing on the fire within me, I channeled the flames into my fists, letting the heat sear through my veins. I dropped my sword, clenched my fists, and leaped toward the nearest creature. My fist connected with its jaw, the impact and flame exploding through its skull in a burst of ash and smoke.

In the chaos, a memory flashed before me—the faces of my fallen classmates. The pain, the anger, it all fueled me. These monsters would pay for what they'd done.

Another beast rushed forward, and with a cry, I drove my hands into the ground, unleashing a wave of fire that surged forward like a living wall, consuming everything in its path. The creatures writhed and screamed as the flames devoured them, their forms reduced to cinders.

As the final beast fell, silence settled over the battlefield. My breathing was ragged, my body aching. I forced myself to stand tall, brushing away the ash that clung to my skin. The fight wasn't over yet. There would be more of them—there always were. But as long as there was breath in my body, I would keep fighting. I owed it to those who couldn't fight anymore.

I turned around, and my heart dropped. My friends lay scattered across the blood-soaked ground, their bodies battered and bruised.

Rosé knelt beside them, hands trembling, her usually vibrant energy flickering like a dying flame. She was trying to gather enough strength to heal them, but I could see the pain in her eyes, the tears trailing down her cheeks as she whispered words of comfort she didn't even believe.
