Themis didn’t know what to make of her grandson, and apparently, neither did Zeus. The boy was unlike any other godling; he held the playful whims of a child but wielded the raw, untamed power of a full-grown god.It was also rare for a godling to take so much time to grew up and mature, even Hermes despite his infant's appearance when he was little, have a mind of an adult.Kaelis was a mystery,a puzzle even Olympus couldn’t entirely understand.

And yet,by all the gods,he was utterly adorable.

His bright golden eyes sparkled with a light that was almost celestial, twinkling like stars with the fierce intensity of the sun.Every time he looked up,it was as if he carried the brilliance of Olympus itself within his gaze. His hair was softer than the finest silk, catching the light in a way that seemed almost divine. His face was perfectly round and full, with cheeks flushed a gentle red, smooth and youthful in a way that seemed to defy time.Kaelis was perfect,a flawless creation, and to Themis,he looked just like Kassia had at that age—innocent, pure, and so full of life.

But that was where the similarities ended.Kassia, for all her beauty and goodness, had been delicate, prone to illnesses and weaknesses that even her godhood couldn’t shield her from. She had seemed almost mortal at times, fragile,as if the world weighed on her far more than it did on others. And as a child,Kassia’s temper had been legendary.Themis could still recall the countless times Kassia had thrown fierce tantrums, fiery displays of frustration that seemed to shake the halls. She would hold her breath until her small body trembled, determined to have her way even if it meant passing out,her stubbornness as mighty as any godly force.

And now, here stood her grandson—stronger, somehow wilder, yet carrying a sweetness that softened Themis’s stern heart.

“Grandma!.”Kaelis beamed up at her,his voice bright and filled with excitement. His small mouth split into a wide, toothy grin that made Themis’s heart swell,a warmth she hadn’t expected flooding her chest. “My grandma.” His words, innocent and affectionate, held a weight that made Themis pause,as if he saw her with a simplicity and trust that was somehow beyond his years.

“Hello, little one,”Themis murmured, her voice softened in a way it rarely was.She knelt down before him,her normally sharp gaze softening as she finally took in the fullness of his presence. In this moment, she allowed herself to see him not as the enigma he was but simply as her grandson—something so simple yet so profound.

“I made you this.”Kaelis’s voice was soft, his innocence shining through as he handed her a small, delicate bracelet made of pearly beads strung together with care.He looked up at her,his golden eyes bright with sincerity. “Mama said I have to apologize, for being angry at you.”

Themis took the bracelet, her fingers lingering over the smooth, polished beads. She felt an unexpected warmth at his gesture, and her lips curved in a faint smile. “You can be angry at me,sweet boy,” she said gently, her voice barely a whisper. “I hurt your mother.”
