Sheila looks around Kyle's bedroom, not sure where to start. It was fairly clean for a teenage boy, but she didn't know whether or not that was a good thing. Could be good hygiene, but could also be him trying to hide something.

She went over to his closet and opened it. Nothing to find. She sorted through the clothes and shoe boxes, but nothing in particular stood out much.

She headed over to his computer desk and decided to see what was on his laptop. She knew she had to be prepared, knowing that a teenage boy could be looking at just about anything on the internet. She turned it on, surprisingly there was no passcode or password of any sort, and looked at his home screen full of apps and icons, and clicked the internet icon to see his history and check out what was going on.

She didn't find anything particularly worrying. Just a few online books, some streaming services he was watching, and homework questions. She felt stuck. She knew something was up but didn't know exactly what.

She looked at the time in the laptop; 12:51 am. Kyle was still not home. She huffed and went to his nightstand to see what he had there. A book laid on it with a lamp on; she guessed he left it on before he left and forgot to turn it off. She opened his nightstand to see what was inside and pulled out a box.

A box of condoms.

"What??? I don't even remember Kyle having a girl over?" Sheila says to herself, as she grabs the box and puts it next to her. She peeked under his bed and didn't see anything either, and then started going through his pillow cases.

"What what what???!!" She shouts, as she pulls out a small plastic baggie, with green stuff inside. She looked a little closer and smelled it, realizing it was marijuana.

Her chest beat went faster, as she emptied his pillows in anger, finding more bags of different substances inside. She didn't know what to do. She went ahead and started going through everything, trashing everything inside of his room during the process. Once she found everything she needed, she stormed off to her and Gerald's bedroom, and laid the items down on the bed.

"See?!" Sheila shouts, upset. "I knew he was hiding something, Gerald! He's become a monster!"

Gerald sighed. "Wait, you went through his room? You invaded his privacy?"

"You're missing the point, Gerald! Our son had drugs in his room!"

Gerald groans. "Obviously I'm concerned about that too Sheila, okay?! But I don't think going through his room was the right way to go about it!"

Sheila scoffs. "It obviously was the right way to go about it if this is what I found!" She shouts, upset. "I'm gonna be waiting until he gets home to talk to him about this!"

"This can't wait until the morning, Sheila? It's already 1:00 am!" Gerald asked as Sheila shook her head. "Nope!"

She stayed downstairs with the lights off until Kyle arrived home, which wasn't until 3:00 am in the morning.

Kyle opened the front door slowly as it was dark in the house, and he tried not to make any noise shutting it to wake his parents up. He was about to sneak up the stairs when the lights flashed on.

"Mom!" Kyle shouts, shocked. "What are you doing up at this time?"

"Don't act innocent! Where were you! I can deal with you coming home a couple minutes past your curfew, but it's been hours!"

"I was just hanging out with my friends, Ma!" Kyle lies. Well, he was hanging out with them, but at a party.

"I can smell alcohol in your breath, Kyle!" She shouts. "You were at a party! And explain all of this!" She shouts, as she laid out the bags of drugs and condom box she found in Kyle's room.

Kyle's heart started racing. "Where did you get those?..." Kyle asks, trying to pretend he didn't know what she had out.

"Don't play dumb! These were in your pillow case and night stand! You have some explaining to do right now!"

"Wait, you went through my room? What the hell is wrong with you, Mom?!" Kyle shouted clearly upset.

"Don't put this blame on me, and do NOT curse at me! Gerald, he cursed at me! Come down here! Give me that phone young man!" Sheila says, as she snatches Kyle's phone out of his hand aggressively.

"Look, Kyle. We'll talk about this in the morning. Just get some sleep and we can all talk as a family then." Gerald says, as Sheila huffs.

"Thank God." Kyle says, as he goes upstairs, annoyed.

"Why did you do that, Gerald? He needs to be taught a lesson for how he just talked to me!"

"Sheila, you can do that tomorrow morning. I want to SLEEP already!" He shouts, as he heads to the bedroom.

Kyle was in his room, clearly stressed. The whole room was torn apart and a mess, and he was angry with his mom for going through his room and taking his phone as well. He sat and thought for about an hour, and then remembered something.

He still had his old phone.

Kyle laughed, he was shocked his mom didn't take his old phone away as well. He unlocked it, and went to text Stan.

...

Kyle: Stan, please tell me you're awake still.

Stan: Yup. Why?

Kyle: My mom knows.

Stan: About what? You being fruity >:P ??

Kyle: I wish tbh, I'd rather take that over now. She went through my room and found drugs.

Stan: Oh shit. U in trouble???

Kyle: Well, she yelled at me and took my phone. I'm on my old one. She and my dad said we'll talk about it in the morning, whatever that means.

Stan: Damn. What r u gonna do???

Kyle: Hopefully run away.

Stan: R u serious?

Kyle: Very. Come pick me up.

Stan: R u sure? I'm a little drunk lol.

Kyle: It's fine, just hurry.

...

Kyle packed some of his stuff and opened his bedroom window, waiting for Stan to pull up. He eventually saw the headlights parked, and slowly headed out of the bedroom window, closing it before sliding down the roof.

He ran opened the car door, and shut it quick. "Hurry, go go!" Kyle shouts, as Stan laughs, driving off.
