Yusho had arranged for the pet doors to be delivered to the house, and a few hours later several large boxes were delivered from the hardware store. Yoko stared at him in surprise when she saw all the boxes. "Yusho... just how many pet doors did you get?" she asked.
"Enough for every door in the house," Yusho said. "I've heard the cats meowing whenever they can't enter a room, and we all know that Core will jump on door handles to open closed doors and wake everyone up doing so."
"Yusho! That's got to be at least forty pet doors!" Yoko protested. Yusho nodded, "Forty-seven to be precise. The only doors that won't have pet doors will be the saunas and the outside doors."
"It's going to take a while to install them all," Yoko sighed. Yusho nodded, "I'm going to start with the doors to the gym and laundry room, and the doors to the boys' rooms so that Core doesn't jump on the handles and wake them up."
"Well then, you should do the boys' room first, so that those doors are ready when they go to bed," Yoko suggested. Yusho nodded in agreement. "Yes, I think I can have those doors finished by the time they go to bed."
