Chapter 23: He's Cheating!

"YOU JERK! YOU CHEATED ON ME!" Jimin screamed at Taehyung who was just looking at him.

"Jiminie, please calm down, it doesn't mean anything," Taehyung started.

"Oh, NO! NA-UH! You CHEATED! I AM NOT FORGIVING YOU, YOU BASTARD!"

So, what lead to this predicament of a now cowering Taehyung and a screaming Jimin throwing cushions at said taller man?

Well... it really isn't what people who accidentally overheard think.

It had been a week now since Jimin moved into Taehyung's apartment, and during the shift, he learnt that the reason Taehyung was made Chairman was because his grandfather wished him to be.

It had been done with legal work and secrecy, in fact, apart from Jimin, only Taehyung's Grandfather and their business lawyer knew that Taehyung was the real Chairman.

And as the two were relaxing on the couch after moving and unpacking the last of the boxes, Jimin on top of Taehyung and snuggled into him as he liked it, Taehyung had told him more about his family.

"My grandfather knew that he could go at any time, he just wasn't sure when and he was worried about the future of the company," Taehyung started.

"Oh?" Jimin said quietly as his fingers suddenly had a mind of their down as they softly caressed and danced across Taehyung's chest.

"He wanted the future to be secured, so he made me Chairman and gave me the majority shares via various means on top making me head of the board of directors,"

"I see,"

"He felt that I knew enough to be able to run the company and conglomerate as he and my grandmother envisioned,"

"Ah," was all Jimin could really say on the matter as any business talk went a bit over his head, but he was curious about one thing, so he asked, "So, I'm curious, why on a farm? He could've taken you to a penthouse or mansion, like how your brothers lived and yet he made you grow up away from all that,"

"I never really asked, I guess he didn't want me to be a spoiled brat...or too much of a spoiled brat, apparently I can still be a pouty brat,"

"I have seen you during game night when you lose, you are very definitely a pouty brat, but do go on,"

Taehyung smirked a small laughter as he continued, "Anyway, it was mostly for my grandmother, she loved country life, she loved being there to grow things, be there for the community, and just live simply and not simply live, if you get my meaning,"

"I do,"

"And to be honest, as I've grown up, I like country life,"

"Will you go back to it?"

"Maybe just sometimes, I like country life, but I also like being here in the city, so, I'm not sure yet what I'd like to do with the farm, I like to go back now and then but not do so permanently,"

"You'll work it out,"

"Yeah,"

"Tae?"

"Hmmm, what's going to happen when you're away?"

"Ah, that, well, I am still Chairman, any money my company makes is mine, especially as there's a Board and my Grandfather is legally the stand in, and should he pass while I'm serving, I will find someone to be the stand in,"

"I see,"

"I'm only going for a year and a half,"

"A year and a half is a long time,"
