Taehyung patiently waited for Jimin to finish his phone call with his mother.
When he was done, Jimin put the phone down and let out a small sigh.
"So? What did she say?" Taehyung asked
"She's gonna talk to my Aunt about what she said, and she also wanted me to know that my apartment is done," Jimin answered.
"Oh,"
"Oh?"
"Nothing,"
"Really?"
"Well, no, not nothing,"
"Then what?"
"I just, I really liked having you at my place,"
"I like being at your place,"
Taehyung smiled, "I mean, you're welcome to keep staying at my place,"
"Can I?"
"Yeah,"
"Good,...can I bring more of my things to your place?"
"Sure, we can go pick it up tomorrow,"
"OK,"
Taehyung stood up as he helped Jimin to his feet, "I'll help you tidy up here and then let's go back to my place, movie night?"
"I'd like that,"
The two tidied up and made sure everything was okay before picked up their bags.
Taehyung held out his hand and let Jimin take it as the two then left the building.
The night air was crisp for the time of year as the two enjoyed a nice quiet walk to Taehyung's car.
As the two got in, Taehyung began driving home before deciding that he wanted to take a detour.
"Tae?" Jimin started.
"Just trust me," Taehyung said as Jimin just nodded his head and sat back.
Taehyung drove a bit out of Seoul as he continued driving, Jimin started feeling a little sleepy as the dancing finally caught up with him, but he forced himself to stay awake.
When Taehyung finally arrived where he wanted to take Jimin, the dancer was confused, it was dark....very dark, and scary.
He didn't like dark and scary.
Taehyung appeared next to his door, making Jimin yelp and jump as the taller opened the door and gave him a warm jacket.
"C'mon, I wanna show you a place," Taehyung said as he took Jimin's hand in one of his and had a flashlight in another hand.
The two walked for about fifteen minutes, the stars above shimmering and shinning in a way Jimin hadn't seen in a long time since his time in Busan away from the city lights.
Taehyung suddenly stopped as he took Jimin to a spot that over looked everything.
Seoul was visible in the distance, but the location was hidden enough that the light pollution didn't ruin the view.
"It's beautiful here," Jimin said.
"I found it when I needed time to think and be away from, well, my family," Taehyung said.
"You know, you never really mention them,"
Taehyung sat down on a rock that was the edge of the cliff as Jimin sat next to him.
"For good reason," Taehyung said.
"Can I ask why?" Jimin asked.
"We had an argument when they met me at my grandmother's funeral,"
Jimin leaned in against Taehyung's side as he leaned his head on his shoulder.
Taehyung continued, "You see, my brothers were always doted on by my parents, they are their pride and joy, and I, I was a mistake, so they sent me to my grandmother, my brothers grew up in wealth and going to the best schools, and I was called, 'That Orphaned Farm Boy,' but I loved my grandma and growing up with her, I learnt to appreciate what I had, to love the world around me, I wasn't lying to you or your parents when I said that my family are the owners of that farming equipment company,"
"Oh,"
"But I'm not like them, I want to help people, I don't want to take their money like this, and my parents disapproved of my choices, so they cut me off even more, hell, I don't think my brothers even know who the hell I am or what I look like, they just know they have a younger brother somewhere in Korea, but, I know what they look like, they're very good looking, must run in the family,"
Jimin knew that he had said the latter to lighten the mood, but he could see through him.
Jimin didn't know what to say as he lifted a hand to wipe away the tears that Taehyung had unknowingly shed before drawing him into a hug, "I think you're really brave, clichéd as that sounds, and I think you have a good heart and that will come back to you, you'll see,"
"Thanks, I just, I don't understand why they care so much about my life when they didn't before, why do they suddenly want me to be involved in whatever the hell it is that they want when before they didn't care, why care now that my grandmother died,"
"She give you anything that they'd want?"
"Everything, but, as I'm here, I left it to my grandfather,"
"Why give everything to you if he's still alive?"
"In case he leaves soon, too, I guess,"
"Oh, I see,"
Taehyung didn't say anything as he settled more into Jimin's embrace.
After some time, Jimin asked, "So, how did you find this place?"
"I like driving around just to think, I knew that there was a lookout here somewhere away from the city and I just wanted to be somewhere that was close enough to the city but far enough that no one would bother my thoughts," Taehyung answered.
"Thanks for sharing it with me,"
Taehyung smiled as he nudged his head against Jimin's and said, "It's my pleasure,"
