Chap 44

As night fell, Engfa and Charlotte returned home, immersed in the evening atmosphere filled with street lights and the joyful chatter resonating from nearby shops. Engfa stopped by a small flower shop along the road and picked a bright bouquet of sunflowers for Charlotte. The vibrant yellow added to the evening's charm, yet in Engfa's heart, nothing was more beautiful than seeing Charlotte's smile.

As they stepped into the yard, Engfa noticed the car Charlotte had gifted her, parked neatly in the corner. Though the house was small, just enough space for two cars to fit comfortably, it felt cozy and filled with laughter. Engfa beamed, eagerly stepping out of the car.

• "Look at that! Your gift is perfect!" Engfa exclaimed, hugging Charlotte and planting a light kiss on her cheek. Her eyes sparkled with joy.

Charlotte giggled, her eyes twinkling like stars in the night sky.

• "Do you like it?" Charlotte asked, her sweet smile making Engfa feel as if everything around her had stopped.

• "I love it! It's truly beautiful! Thank you so much!" Engfa replied, feeling happiness well up inside her.

Both of them happily walked into the house, where everything was warm and intimate. Charlotte headed to the bathroom to freshen up after a long day outside, while Engfa sat in front of the TV, waiting for her to finish. Outside, the sounds of city life continued, but inside, there was only the peace and warmth of the sweet memories they shared.

After they both had freshened up, they enjoyed some fruit and watched the news together. The close atmosphere melted away any worries they had.

• "Can I sleep with you tonight?" Engfa playfully asked, her eyes shimmering like a light in the dark.

Charlotte turned, smiling:

• "Alright, but you have to promise not to do anything!"

Engfa pretended to nod, but her eyes gleamed mischievously, making Charlotte laugh.

• "I promise! Just sleeping," she said, though her eyes hinted at more fun.

Outside, the evening was filled with laughter and live music, but in their little house, it was just the two of them and their sweet moments. Engfa and Charlotte climbed into bed, where the soft yellow light created a cozy atmosphere, contrasting with the noise outside. Charlotte wore a short, light nightdress, while Engfa's longer black nightdress hugged her body like a warm embrace.

Engfa lay on the bed, watching Charlotte brush her hair and apply lotion. Her heart raced as she admired Charlotte's fair skin.

• "You're truly beautiful," Engfa whispered, unable to take her eyes off the love of her life.

Charlotte turned, her gaze radiant:

• "Thank you! So are you. Have you ever felt this way about anyone?"

Engfa was silent for a moment, then replied:

• "Never. You're the most special person in my life."

Charlotte smiled, her eyes twinkling like stars in the dark sky.

Engfa stood up, walked behind Charlotte, and wrapped her arms lovingly around her neck.

• "Let's go to bed early, okay?" Her voice was soft, like a gentle melody in the night.

Charlotte laughed at Engfa's playfulness, but Engfa's hands continued to roam, making Charlotte feel ticklish and blush.

• "Stop being silly!" Charlotte squealed, trying to pull away.

Realizing her plan was about to fail, Engfa suddenly picked Charlotte up.

• "What are you doing?" Charlotte exclaimed, her face full of surprise.

Engfa laid her down on the bed and turned off the bedside lamp, leaving only the faint glow of street lights filtering in from outside.

• "I want to have a perfect evening with you," Engfa said, her gaze filled with mischief and invitation.

Charlotte barely had time to react before Engfa pinned her down, showering her with kisses that made Charlotte giggle and blush.

• "You're too much...!" Charlotte gasped, pulling Engfa down for a deep kiss.

After the kiss, Engfa still didn't want to stop.

• "I don't want to stop," she said, her eyes bright.

Charlotte stopped her, teasing:

• "It's my time of the month today!"

Engfa pouted, her eyes playfully sulky:

• "How could you wear that and not tell me? I can't resist!"

Charlotte kissed Engfa on the cheek, comforting her:

• "Sorry, I didn't know."

Seeing Charlotte's cuteness, Engfa could no longer be mad. She pulled her close, feeling like all her tension had melted away.

• "Alright, let's just sleep then. I won't do anything," Engfa whispered, feeling warm inside.

Charlotte nestled in Engfa's embrace, feeling safe and at peace.

• "I love you, Fa," Charlotte whispered.

• "I love you too," Engfa replied, her eyes full of love.

They drifted off to sleep in each other's arms, unconcerned about the outside world. They had each other, and that was the most wonderful thing in life. The bustling lights and laughter outside were just the backdrop for their sweet love story, where every moment was filled with happiness.
