Meanwhile, Engfa drove from Bangkok to Samui right after finishing her work, letting her mind drift to thoughts of Charlotte. As she traveled along the small coastal roads, the glow of streetlights illuminated the road, reflecting sweet memories.

• "I need to do everything I can to show Charlotte that I'm always here for her," Engfa told herself.

Upon arriving at the café, she saw Charlotte cleaning up. Her heart raced at the sight of her beloved. Charlotte turned, surprised to see Engfa standing at the door.

• "Engfa?" Charlotte asked, astonishment clear on her face.

• "I came to see you. Work was busy today, so I'm a bit late, but I missed you. Shall we take a walk along the beach?" Engfa responded, slightly hesitant, trying to keep her tone calm.

Charlotte nodded, but inside, she felt a pang of sympathy for this person in front of her.

• "Yes, there's something I'd like to talk about too."

• "Could you make me a coffee? I'd like to hear about your recent days while I enjoy it," Engfa suggested, her warm voice putting Charlotte at ease.

Charlotte smiled softly. "Just a moment."

Under the café's warm light, the bond between them felt like a thread connecting them—though things weren't like they used to be, there was still respect and understanding. They knew that as long as they had each other, the next steps in life would be easier.

After making Engfa's coffee, Charlotte placed it on the table, the warmth of the cup comforting her. She glanced at Marima with a faint smile.

• "I have to go out for a bit," Charlotte announced, her hand lightly touching the warm cup.

Marima gave her a suspicious look.

• "What's the hurry? Is it a date?" Marima teased, a mischievous smile on her face, her eyes twinkling as if coaxing a story out of her.

Charlotte laughed but felt a little flustered.

• "No, I just wanted to step out for a bit," she replied, trying to appear calm.

Marima winked.

• "Well, maybe you have someone waiting. Just the other day, you said you loved me, and now you've already forgotten about me!"

Charlotte only shook her head, her eyes glistening but thoughtful.

• "I'll be back soon," she promised, then headed outside.

Marima watched as Charlotte left, the café's warm lights slowly dimming as the darkness outside took over.

As night fell, Charlotte and Engfa strolled along the beach. The moonlight danced on the water, creating a beautiful scene. The fresh air and the sound of waves made for a soothing melody.

• "You still remember the evenings we used to sit here, don't you?" Engfa began, her gaze following the gentle waves lapping against the shore.

Charlotte nodded, memories filling her heart. They walked side by side, but a slight awkwardness lingered, as if both were searching for the right words to open up.

Suddenly, Engfa spoke, her voice filled with sorrow.

• "I've been through so much these past months. Without you by my side, everything has been harder." She paused, her eyes gazing out at the vast sea.

• "Tina and Mom often ask about you. Mom worries about your health; she even said that if you don't come home, she'll come looking for you."

Charlotte chuckled softly, but she knew Engfa's mom wasn't one to give up easily.
