After discussing the military issues, Engfa and Wan finally wrapped up their work conversation. While Wan was sitting attentively with his notebook, Engfa leaned back in her chair, took a sip of her drink, and gazed out the window. The night view over Samui Island was still as beautiful as a painting, but Engfa's mind was unsettled.

● "Hey Wan, why don't you ever think about getting married?" Engfa suddenly asked, her voice soft but curious.

Wan stared at her, then rubbed his temple, his voice tinged with a bit of frustration:

● "Get married? You wouldn't understand, someone like me-being a soldier-is pretty boring. There's no time for love. I'm always on missions, fighting, and busy with industry relations. Who would want to be with someone like me?"

Engfa burst out laughing at the weary expression on Wan's face. She looked at him, smiling, then said:

● "Well, don't worry, I'll set you up with a girlfriend so you won't feel lonely anymore."

Wan raised an eyebrow, clearly not believing what Engfa had just said. He chuckled, shaking his head.

● "Thanks, but I don't need that. Don't joke around, Engfa. If you're teasing me, I'm out."

Engfa just smiled, her gaze still fixed on the beach below, the dim lights giving it an almost dreamy quality, as if she wanted to say something but stopped herself.

The weather was getting cooler, and a strong sea breeze blew from afar, causing Engfa to shiver slightly. She looked again at the beach, where Tuni's birthday party was going on. Her eyes scanned the crowd and it didn't take long for her to spot Charlotte, her girlfriend, happily chatting with Marima.

A sense of worry crept into Engfa's heart as she feared Charlotte might be cold without a jacket. Without a second thought, she stood up and said to Wan:

● "Let's go, Wan. I want to see Charlotte, and I'll introduce my girlfriend to you."

Wan grinned at her and teased:

● "Oh, so you have a girlfriend now? Didn't expect you to be so romantic."

Engfa didn't respond, only shook her head with a light smile. The two of them waited to settle the bill before heading down the stairs.

The birthday party for Tuni was in full swing by the beach, the twinkling lights creating a romantic yet lively atmosphere. The crowd was immersed in the upbeat music, and laughter and chatter blended with the sound of waves. Charlotte and Marima sat in a quiet corner, under soft lighting, trying to enjoy the festive atmosphere while avoiding curious gazes.

Marima, in her alluring black dress, glanced around at the people nearby before looking back at Charlotte. She noticed that her friend, despite trying to appear cheerful, still seemed tense. Charlotte, in her short black dress, exuded an undeniable charm. However, she couldn't help but feel the attention others were giving her. The cool sea breeze blew, making her hair flutter, creating a dreamlike scene, but it didn't hide the unease she felt inside.

Suddenly, a group of men started approaching from afar. They seemed to be a bit drunk, their eyes dull, and their loud laughter drew attention. Two men stepped forward, introducing themselves as "big bosses" of Samui Island, making everyone nearby turn to look.

● "Hello, beautiful ladies. My friend and I are big players here on Samui. The whole island knows us. Let us introduce ourselves!" One of the men, with a lewd tone, moved closer to Charlotte and Marima.

● "We've heard of you two, really admire you. Don't turn us down, this kind of opportunity is rare." The other man sneered, his gaze lingering longer on Marima than Charlotte.
