After about 15 minutes of cycling, they arrived at the café. When Charlotte gently got off the bike, the afternoon sun had begun to set, creating warm golden rays. She carried the food, waiting for Marima to park the bike, feeling joyful inside.
"Hurry up, we can't wait any longer!" Charlotte laughed, her eyes looking towards the small and charming café, a place she had been attached to for some time.
As they walked arm in arm into the café, the doorbell rang, and the cheerful staff inside welcomed them. They quickly came out to carry supplementary items for Charlotte and Marima."Mistress, someone has come to see you! They sent flowers for you, but because you weren't here, they left," a staff member said, excitedly.
Charlotte was immediately curious:
"Who is it?"
But the staff member just shook their head:
"Sorry, but they instructed not to reveal their identity."
Charlotte looked at the colorful bouquet on the table, the vibrant petals like smiles full of vitality. A warm feeling spread in her heart, and she whispered:
"This person is really thoughtful."
Marima teased when she saw the bouquet:
"I wish I had a bouquet like that! Who would send me flowers?" She smiled mischievously.Charlotte replied with a smile:
"Maybe we should go outside to find someone even kinder!"
With the bouquet in hand, Charlotte stepped outside the café and found a seat by a small wooden table. She sat down, the gentle flowers swaying in the wind, the sweet scent spreading. While admiring the flowers, she noticed a small card among the petals. Reading the words on it, Charlotte couldn't help but chuckle.
"Engfa really knows how to speak sweet words," she murmured, her heart full of happiness.Charlotte gently placed the bouquet on the wooden table, the afternoon sun shining through each petal, making them glow in the warm space. She couldn't take her eyes off the bouquet, her mind immersed in sweet and painful thoughts. Each petal seemed to carry memories, each color reminding her of Engfa - the person she loved and also struggled with feelings of anger and hurt.
Time seemed to stand still, while the sounds around gradually faded. The scent of flowers mixed with the fresh sea air, creating a peaceful feeling in Charlotte's heart. She smiled, reminiscing about the sweet moments with Engfa, the times they laughed together, the evenings watching the sunset. But then, the pains rushed back, making her falter when thinking about the misunderstandings that had separated them.
At that moment, Marima appeared beside her, holding a fragrant cup of coffee."Hey, I brought you this!" Marima said cheerfully, her voice full of excitement.Charlotte turned to look at the coffee cup Marima handed her, feeling the warmth of genuine friendship.
"Thank you, Marima," she smiled, her eyes still on the vibrant bouquet.
