The room seemed smaller, and the tension was so thick that it felt like a living thing wrapped around them. Mia had been holding back all night, and Zeus knew her inside out. His amber eyes were locked on her mouth, watching her lips part slightly, betraying the battle within her.

The heat rushed to her face. Mia could feel the flush creeping up her neck, but there was no hiding from Zeus. Not from his senses, not from his gaze. He smirked, savouring her reaction, clearly revelling in his effect on her.

"I want to taste that defiance," he murmured, his thumb pulling her lip down, exposing the delicate skin beneath. His eyes darkened with a hunger that sent a shiver down her spine. "But more than that, I want to taste your surrender."

Every fibre of her being screamed to push him away again, to hold onto whatever shred of control she had left. But the more he touched her, the more her body betrayed her. Mia could feel her defiance slipping. A battle she had been fighting since meeting us.

"You can deny it all you want, but your body says everything that you're trying so hard to cover." Zeus' lips brushed the corner of her mouth, teasing her with the barest contact. "I know what you want. I can smell it. I can taste it. And when you finally give in..." He paused, letting the moment stretch as her entire body tensed, waiting for his next move. "You'll wonder why you ever fought us."

"Us," Mia's mind screamed.

Her thoughts flickered to me again, and she wondered how different I was from the man standing before her. She could not understand how someone could be so dominant and raw yet the same man with whom she had laughed and shared tender moments. The thought of me having a split personality never left her mind.

Zeus let out a low chuckle, leaning in, his lips brushing the shell of her ear as he whispered, "You think I'm just another side of Alex, don't you?" The amusement in his voice was evident.

Mia blinked in surprise, her heart stuttering at his words. "How did he know? How could he possibly?"

"You'll learn the truth soon enough," he murmured—the promise of something darker underlying his tone.

Zeus' grip on her tightened just enough to make her gasp softly, the pressure sending a bolt of heat through her already troubling core. He captured her lips. The kiss started softly but quickly became demanding. It was not just a kiss—a claim, a reminder that no matter how hard Mia fought, she had always belonged to us. Zeus pulled back just enough to look into her eyes. His thumb brushed over her swollen bottom lip.

"You taste like desire. Like you've been waiting for this moment longer than you'd ever admit." His voice was thick with satisfaction.

In one motion, Zeus pinned her against the door. His grip on her wrists remained firm as he held them high above her head, his body pressing her into the wall with an intoxicating mixture of dominance and need. His eyes darkened, filled with hunger as he leaned in closer, his breath hot against her neck. Mia's body responded instinctively, arching into him, her pulse pounding in her throat.
