May's pov
The moment I heard about Ember and Ron, I went straight to the Hospital wing with Ginny and Hermione. Ginny sat between Ron and Ember. Hermione sat next to Ron, I knew she fancied Ron, but she won't admit it to me. I sat next to Ginny and looked at Ember, she was so pale. The same with Ron. Their hands were ice cold and their lips were a shade of purple and white.
Harry, Dumbledore, Snape, McGonagall, and Slughorn were here. "Quick thinking on your part, Harry. Using a Bezoar. You must be very proud of your student, eh, Horace?" Dumbledore said.
"Hm?" Slughorn snapped out of his thoughts. "Oh. Yes... very proud."
"I think we all agree that Mr. Potter's actions were heroic." McGonagall spoke up. "The question is: Why were they necessary."
"Why indeed." Dumbledore took the half-empty bottle of mead, wrapped in giftwrap paper. Why would Emer drink it? Wait, nevermind. It's Ember. Dumbledore sniffed the bottle, "this appears to be a gift, Horace. You don't by chance remember who gave you this bottle, do you - which by the way possesses remarkably subtle hints of licorice and cherry when not polluted with poison."
"Actually I had intended to give it as a gift myself." Slughorn said shyly and in a sort of embarrassed way.
"To whom might I ask?" Dumbledore asked.
"You, Headmaster." Slughorn replied shamefully.
Lavender Brown burst into the wing and ran over. "Where is he? Where's my Won-Won!" I rolled my eyes, this girl... "Has he been asking for me? "What's she doing here?" She glared at Hermione. Oh this should be good.
Hermione stood up and glared back. "I might ask you the same.
"I happen to be his girlfriend!" Lavender exclaimed.
"I happen to be his..." Hermione paused, "friend."
"Don't make me laugh." Lavender snarled "You haven't spoken in weeks. I suppose you want to make up with him now that he's suddenly all interesting."
Hermione frowned, "he's been poisoned, you daft dimbo! And for the record, I've always found him interesting." I smirked at her. She saw my smirk and looked away a bit embarrassed. Why can't she just admit she likes him?
Ron stirred a little and mumble something. "Ha! See? He senses my presence.
I'm here, Won-Won. I'm here!" Lavender cooed.
"Er... My... Nee..." Ron mumbled. I smirked even more. "Her... My. Nee..." Ron, in a haze, reached out blindly. Blushing, Hermione took his hand. Instantly, he falls unconscious again. Lavender, gasped and ran out crying. I looked at Hermione and wiggled my eyebrows.
Dumbledore beamed. "Ah, to be young and feel love's keen sting. Come, everyone, I think Mr. Weasley is well tended." Dumbledore walked out with the other professors following him.
"'Bout time, don't you think?" Ginny whispered to Harry.
Harry smiled at Hermione. Hermione held Ron's hand. She looked at us and rolled her eyes. "Oh shut up."
I sat down next to Ember and studied her face. "Why is it when something bad happens she's always somehow involved in it?"
"Trouble always seems to find its way to her." Harry said.
"Should we tell Draco?" I asked.
Ginny gave me a look, "May. We all know how Ember feels about Draco. She made it clear many times."
I sighed, "I know. But, there's something wrong with Draco. Parkinson did something to him, I know it. You all know it."
Hermione spoke up, "maybe this is for the best. Draco wasn't the best for Ember anyway."
"At times he was." I pointed out, "he helped Ember through a lot of things. He actually made her happy when she's upset."
Seamus came running in and rushed over to Ember. "McGonagall just told me what happened. Will she be okay?"
I nodded, "yeah she'll be okay. Pomfrey always knows what to do."
Seamus at on the other side of Ember and held her hand. "She's so cold."
"She'll be alright, mate." Harry reassured Seamus.
"How did she get poisoned?" Seamus asked.
"We went to Slughorn's because Ron was under a love potion." Harry explained. "After, Slughorn gave us all mead. Ember and Ron were the ones who drank first. Someone poisoned the mead, someone who wants to get rid of Dumbledore..."
I looked at Harry, "who would want to do that?"
Harry shrugged, "no idea. But we have to be more careful."

I was in the courtyard with Harry, we were working on our potions homework while Hermione stayed with Ron and Ember. But we all know that she's in there for Ron. At least Ember has Seamus there with her. Harry got an owl from Remus asking what had happened to Ember and Ron. He told us to know who the enemy is and to find out who did the poisoning but to be careful. I don't think Remus trusts me that much. Probably because I'm a Malfoy and that Draco hurt Ember.
I looked over at Harry then back at my potions book. It's funny how easily I forgave Harry for hurting Ember and Draco. I am so set on Draco and Ember getting together. I have to be.
"May, Potter." I looked up and saw Blaise standing in front of us. "What happened to Ember?"
"She was poisoned." I replied.
"I got that," Blaise retorted. "Do you know who did it?"
I shook my head, "no."
"Let me know if you find out." Blaise said, "I am going to bring a whole lot of hurt to whoever did it. Draco was freaking out when he found out. I don't know what has gotten into. One minute he's hating on Ember, the next he cares about her."
"I don't know." I said.
Harry spoke up, "but we all know Ember is done with Draco. She made that clear to the whole castle. So why do you guys keep talking about it?"
"Because he cares about Ember!" I said in annoyance.
Harry groaned, "but she doesn't care about Draco."
"You don't know that." I glared at him.
Harry stood up, "you so obsessed with Ember and Draco. Just leave them alone and worry about how Ron and Ember are in the hospital wing. That's if you actually care about them." Harry paused, "Ember. Other than getting her with... Malfoy."
I stood up and glared at Harry, "I care about Ember! Don't you dare question that!"
Harry glared back, "then stop trying to ger her with Draco when she clearly does not want to. Respect her decisions, May." Harry gathered his things and walked away.
I glared at his back as he left. "Annoying little prick."
Blaise gave me look, "I get why you'd want Draco and Ember together. Draco still cares about Ember, but at times he doesn't. It's getting too complicated. Maybe it is for the best for them to be separated."
"But-"
Blaise cut me off, "think about it." He gave me a faint smile and walked away.
I groaned in frustration. Why can't anyone agree with me? It would make my life a whole lot easier. I gathered my things and went to the owlery. I looked for my owl. She flew over to me holding a letter. I pet her head and took the letter. I unfolded it and read it.
-May,
Have you made any progress? I'm becoming impatient.
