When it was time for lunch, I headed to the Great Hall. But I was stopped by Blaise.

He simply gave me a questioning look. I nodded in response.

I turned around and went to the Head common room. "Pureblood." I said to the portrait loudly so that Blaise could hear the password.

The portrait opened and I went inside. I sat down on the couch and my hands through my hair.
First day back and I got detention. Fred and George would have been proud if this place wasn't infested with Death Eaters.

The portrait opened and Blaise walked in. He sat down across from me.

"What did you need to talk about?" I asked curiously.

"I want you to give me direct answers." Blaise said calmly. "I don't want any bullshit answers."

I sighed and nodded. "Okay." I prepared myself for the worse.

"Are you a Death Eater?" Blaise asked.

I looked at him in the eyes. I trusted Blaise. We had been friends for a long time. "Yes."

He didn't flinch. "I am too. I'm not proud of it."

"Nor am I." I told him.

"Have you been in contact with you know who recently?" Blaise asked.

I shook my head. "Not for a while now."

"Does Potter, Granger and the Weasleys know?"

I nodded. "They know."

"Do they hate you?"

"I really hope not." I replied quietly. "They've all been okay with it. They were shocked at first. But slowly understood why I did it. Although, Harry and Ron haven't exactly said if they hated me or not..." I hoped Blaise doesn't ask why I did it. I wouldn't know what to tell him.

Blaise studied my face. It looked like he was debating whether or not he should ask the question. Please don't ask why. "Does Harmony know?" Thank Merlin.

"No." I said sternly. "She can never know. She knows what Death Eaters are. It would kill her to find out that her own mother is one."

"What happened between you and Draco on the train?" He questioned. "Draco left saying he was going to use the loo. I went to find the trolly and saw the two of you go into a compartment. When Draco came back, his eyes were a little red."

I looked down at my lap. "I don't want to talk about this."

"Ember." Blaise said. He stood up and walked over to sit next to me. "Please tell me what happened."

"He told me to be careful." I replied with tears forming in my eyes. "He told me that he cared about me. That he loved me."

"What did you say?" Blaise asked softly.

I looked at Blaise. "I told him I couldn't be with him. I told him that there was too much going on. Then he.." I stopped as I tried not to cry. Blaise wrapped his arm around me. "Then he told me that if I told him that I didn't love him he would stay out of my way."

Blaise waited a few seconds before asking, "did you tell him you loved him?" I shook my head. "You told him you didn't love him." I nodded. "Were you lying?" I let out a sob and tears fell. Blaise sighed and held me close.

"I don't know what to do." I cried. "There's too many things going on."

Blaise rubbed my back soothingly. "I can't tell you what to do. But I can tell you that you have to listen to your heart." He wiped my tears away and smiled at me. "No matter how cheesy that is," I laughed a little. I stopped crying. "It is the right thing to do. Sometimes you just have to turn your mind off and act on how you feel."
