You saw him walking closer, a bouquet of flowers clutched to his chest. He bent down and placed what was in his hands in front of you. You smiled at the sight.

I missed you you said.

You hugged him tightly, his cologne filling your nostrils.

"Hi" he whispered, a genuine smile on his lips, one you hadn't seen in a while.

Hi you repeated.

You brushed his hand. He seemed so distant yet so close at the same time.

He looked at you. "I have so many things to tell you"

Then tell me you urged him, throwing yourself into his arms again.

You began to kiss his face. First his cheeks, then his chin, and finally his nose. He loved little kisses there. You pulled away a little to get a better look of him. He looked lovely, his hair neatly trimmed. The dark circles under his eyes were no longer as dark as they had been a few months earlier. Perhaps he had finally managed to sleep.

You look good, Aaron.

He sat down on the lawn, his suit folding a little. The tie was still impeccable though. You laughed.

"I wanted to look good" he admitted, nodding to himself.

You always look good you stated placing the palm of your hand on his face and you could have sworn he leaned against it.

"I know, I know," he laughed, "You think I would look good with a garbage bag on as well"

Yeah you muttered. You shifted in place and waited for him to continue.

He took a photo of your children out of his pocket. He looked at it. "Sweet music is all you hear in our house. Sometimes I come home late from work and find her and Jack dancing in our room in the dark. They have a smile on their faces and their laughter echoes throughout the house. She laughs like you. I'm surprised the neighbors haven't come to complain yet"

I bet they will come soon you chuckled.

"Maybe it's because they miss you too, and she reminds them of you" he lowered his head.

He rested his right elbow on his knee and raised his arm to look at the picture better. "I saw them dancing yesterday" he started to say, but a silent sob immediately interrupted him.

You squeezed his other hand.

Aaron you called him.

He sniffed up. It hadn't been long since he'd let himself look fragile in front of you. It destroyed you every time.

"Sorry" he told you.

Don't apologize, there's nothing to apologize for.

He looked at you, his eyes filled with tears. "They were dancing with a picture of you in their hands. They were passing the frame around and holding you close to their chest. All three of you looked gorgeous"

You detected second thoughts in his voice as if there was something he didn't know whether to tell you. You began to draw circles in his palm with your finger. He continued.

"I asked them what they were doing. Jack told me that they thought you missed dancing there, wherever you are now. It hurt my heart, I can't deny that, but I didn't want to ruin that moment for them. So when our little girl came up and held out a hand to invite me to dance with them to the notes of your favorite song, I couldn't say no"

You grinned at the idea.

"I'm not good at moving to the beat" he confessed.

You playfully slapped his hand. That's a lie. We used to dance every Friday night, you got good at it over the years.

"I'm not good at moving to the beat without you" he corrected himself.

You smiled sadly at him.

"I feel better though, you know? I can get out of bed and go to the supermarket now" he admitted, and you couldn't help but smile proudly at him again.

Then he placed the photograph on the ground, putting it standing straight in front of you. "They have grown so much. They told me that I'm more like me again and that I've started to laugh, again". He then pointed at your daughter. "I got some color back and she thinks so, too," he said, "And you know what I love? She looks so much like you. She is almost you"

I love you.

He sat for a few more moments, then stood up. He fixed his suit and then turned his gaze to the sky. "The moon is beautiful, isn't it?"

Just like you you answered.

He looked in your direction one last time. "I'm sure you are as beautiful as the moon right now"

You grinned at the compliment.

He blew you a kiss. "See you soon, honey"

See you soon, Aaron.

And thus your handsome man turned and walked away from your grave. You watched him go, contentment in your heart that, though it hadn't beaten in a long time, was still full of love for him.
