-----------------------------------

The next morning, when I got up, it was 7:10am, meaning I was already late. I didn't know how I could have not heard my alarm, but didn't really care either. By the time I actually got out of bed, it was 7:15, giving me a maximum of fifteen minutes to get ready.

I had barely slept that night, due to my thoughts not wanting to leave me alone. I was tired as hell and didn't feel like going to school. Besides, I was still kind of annoyed with Vic.

Deciding, that I'd just be late then, I made my way downstairs and into the kitchen sleepily. I - also sleepily - poured myself a cup of coffee and sighed. I was in an absolutely shitty mood and was a hundred percent sure, that if anyone pissed me off that day, I'd punch them straight in the face.

I was home alone again, so I sat on the couch in the living room instead of hiding away in my room and turned on the TV. TV in the morning is always shit, everyone knows that. I flicked through the channels, until I found Disney Channel and watched Phineas and Ferb.

By the time I had finished my second cup of coffee it was already past eight. I was feeling more awake now, so I went back upstairs to take a shower. I didn't hurry, like most mornings, though. I just showered as long as I felt like showering.

When I got out, I blow-dried my hair and got dressed. I went downstairs once again, to get something to eat. I wasn't usually very hungry in the morning, but I decided I wanted to have breakfast anyway - just cause I could.

When I had eaten a few toasts, I texted our chauffeur and slipped on my shoes and grabbed a jacket along with my school bag. I took nothing except my wallet and pencil case. I wasn't planning on participating in class anyway.

As I finally arrived at school it was five past nine. I slowly made my way to class and when I stepped in, my teacher looked at me with an extremely annoyed expression on her face.

"You are late.", she said sourly. "I didn't notice... thanks for stating the obvious.", I muttered as I trotted towards my seat. She gave me one of her death glares - I didn't care.

However, I didn't care about anything that day. I had no particular reason not to care - I just didn't. Usually, when I was late, I'd politely apologize to the teacher and feel embarrassed due to twenty people all staring at me. That day, I didn't care about any of that.

My teacher went on about how students are bound to be in time for class and how it had to stop that we were all always late. I started at her lazily, not really paying attention to what she was saying - more pretending to. For whatever reason, she wasn't talking to the whole class, she was looking directly at me, as if it was all my fault, which pissed me off a bit.

"Excuse me, I didn't catch how I was responsible for other people's problems in the morning.", I said sassily, "It's not my fault that everyone is late. The only thing that is my fault, is that I am late. However, I don't really give a shit, though."

The class was dead silent by the time I had finished speaking. My facial expression remained completely calm the entire time.

"Who do you think you're talking to?", the teacher spat. "Uh, I'm pretty sure I was talking to you." I could practically see the anger radiating from here.

"Kellin!", she shrieked, "principal's office! Now!"

"It'd be my pleasure", I said, swinging my bag over my shoulder and walking toward the door,"Finally out of here."

For the first time since I had entered the classroom, I glanced at Vic, who was sitting next to some guy with flippy hair and tunnels. His mouth hang open, but I could see the amusement in his eyes. I shrugged at him and smiled slyly, before closing the door behind me.

I lazily made my way to the principals office, not bothering to hurry or anything. I knocked at the office door before entering and plopping down in one of the seats across from the principal's desk.

"Oh, hi Kellin. What are you doing here?", she asked, seeming genuinely surprised. I usually wasn't the one to get into much trouble.

I shrugged, "Mrs. Issum sent me here." She raised her eyebrows, "And why would she do that?", she asked. "Because she's a stupid bitch who's got issues."

She looked at me in disbelief. "Yes, yes, I'm a disgrace to mankind, bring it on. Where are the handcuffs?", I said in a bored tone of voice just as she had opened her mouth to speak.

"Because I know this is not your usual behavior, I'm just gonna call your parents. You're suspended for the rest of the day.

"Oh no! Please, anything but suspension! What did I do to deserve this? What will I do all day at home, while everyone else is dying at school? Please, no!", I exclaimed sarcastically. The principal took a deep breath.

I really had no idea what was going on with me. It was like my brain-to-mouth filter was broken and my every thought just came tumbling out, inconsiderate of the consequences. I kind of liked it, though.

She looked through a few binders and papers, until apparently finding my parents' phone numbers. She dialed each of them thrice, before my mom picked up eventually.

I just kind of zoned out while they were talking, not really giving two fucks about what they were saying. When the principal hung up, she looked at me and sighed.

"So, apparently your parents are currently unable to pick you up due to their jobs, but they told me your chauffeur", she raised her eyebrows at 'chauffeur', "will pick you up. Go."

"Oh, what a surprise.", I muttered under my breath, as I exited the building. I said nothing to Ed, the chauffeur, except for a swift 'thanks' when we arrived at home.

I ran straight up to my room and laid down on my bed, sighing.

When Vic called a couple of hours later, I picked up with a groan. "What?", I said in an annoyed tone. "Good morning to you too. What happened in class today? What's wrong?" I sighed, "Doesn't matter. If you would excuse me, I have to continue being home alone now." I could practically hear Vic's eye roll in the next sentence, "Jeez. Okay, then. Sorry for caring."

Then he hung up.

Fucking great job, Kellin.
