"What do you mean we have new company?" Jen questions.

"Take a look across the street. Look what that sign says!" I exclaim.

"Oh hell no, there is no possible way that this Luke can be that stupid to open a bakery right across from another!" She says with sass.

At times like this, Jen can get sassy. She is the queen of sass and you don't want to mess with her.

I knew what I had to do then. I would have to confront this Luke about this whole bakery business.

"The best possible thing we can do is tell him that this is not going to work." I say.

Jen then gave me a look. Jen's looks were the kinds that scared you.
"Really? Just talk it out?" She asks annoyed.

"Well do you have any another better ideas?" I ask.

Jen became silent, knowing that I'm right.

"Come on, let's go." I gesture to the bakery door.

I then just realized how I would know who was the owner of the bakery. Oh well I will just have to ask around.

Jen and I then went over across the street to see if we could find the owner. Once we got across the street, I saw two people talking. One of them, I recognized was the man who put the sign up on the bakery. The other guy was someone I haven't seen before. He looked to be around his twenties, around the same age as me. He had short blonde hair with looked to be blue eyes. I had to admit though he looked hot.

"Excuse me." I say. "I am looking for the owner of this bakery."

"Well you have just met the owner." Said the blonde hair dude "Hi I'm Luke." he answers flashing a pearly white smile.

He reached out his hand and we shook hands.

"Hi, I'm Marie and this is my friend Jen." I replied.

"So you said you wanted to talk to the owner?" Luke asked.

"Yes. Um I don't know how to say this but I don't think it's a good idea that you open up shop on this block." I say sheepishly.

"How come?" He asks with a little edge.

"Well you see I own this bakery right across the street from you and this is not going to be good for business with you being here." I say.

"With me being here? Well I will tell you this, I am not going anywhere and now you can just go back across the street  to your little puny bakery and mind your own business!" Luke says annoyed.

"Fine. Have it your way. You will pay for this!" I yell frustrated, at the situation.

Jen and I then stomped back across the street clearly angry with this whole situation. I was foaming at the mouth  at this point. This was the last thing I wanted, another bakery right near mine. This means war....
