World War Cake (Completed)

31. Round 2

The judges took about fifteen minutes to decide who will go home first.

"Steve, Tawni. I'm sorry but you two have not made it to the next round." Alice says to them.

The rest of the bakers left now in the competition now are Linda and Larry, Emily and Luke, and finally Jen and me.

Everyone who made it the next round are lined up side by side to wait for further instructions.

"Thank you for having us." Steve says stepping out of the line up, he then is followed by a weeping Tawni. As they step off the set, Alice speaks up.

"Congratulations bakers, you have made it the next round." Alice pauses. "For this round you have to bake a cake, not just any kind of cake though. For ingredients you must use beets. Once again, you have forty five minutes to complete this challenge. Your time starts now!"

"Oh my gosh, we made it to the next round!" I squeal with excitement.

"Hopefully we can make it to round three. Alright so what kind of cake are we doing?" Jen asks.

"Let's do a vanilla pudding cake, and we can use the beets as a frosting." I say.

"Alright perfect, let's get started." Says Jen.

After a treacherous amount of work, Jen and I are finished baking and decorating the cake. We now have only one minute left on the clock, before our baking time ends.

"3...2...1 your time is up! Bakers please step aside from your cakes." Alice says in a demanding tone of voice.

All of us bakers step aside from our cake, and line up in front of Alice.

"Alright bakers, this round will be a little different. Instead of describing your cakes to the judges, the judges will just taste each and everyone one of your cakes. While they taste your cakes, you will wait in the waiting room. So off you go!" Alice says.

A stage manager then comes and directs everyone back to the waiting room.

"I'm so nervous." I say to Jen.

The two of us are sitting away from the the other contestants.

"Me too. What if we get sent home?!"

Before I can answer Jen's question the stage manager who had led all the bakers to this room comes back and tells us that the judges have made their decision.

"This is it, the moment of truth." I say getting up from my chair.

Jen nods in agreement.

Lining back up in front of the judges, Alice clears her throat. "The judges have made their final decision, I'm sorry Linda and Larry, but you will not be moving on to the next round."

"We appreciate you having us here today. Good luck guys." Linda says.

Larry just gives a wave to us and walks off the set with Linda.

"Congratulations Emily,Luke, Jen, and Marie. Your two teams have made it to round three!" Alice now getting excited.

Oh my gosh! I can't believe Jen and I have made it to the final round!

"This round will decide who will be the next hosts of Baked. Be sure to work really hard in this round." Alice adds in.

Jen and I are so close to winning this competition, I can almost taste victory.

Hey guys,

Sorry for this lousy chapter and taking forever to update. To be honest, I sort have lost interest in writing this book. I feel that this whole story is very dry and not interesting at all. Idk that's just my opinion on this story.

Anyways though, just because I lost interest in this book, it doesn't mean that I'm going to stop writing it. So don't worry about this book not being completed. I willing definitely finish writing this book very soon since there are only about 2-3 chapters left.
