The movie had finished around eleven o'clock, and Seth and I were still lounging around on the couch. We just say there in silence, until I broke the ice.

"Have you visited any other bakeries yet?" I ask being curious.

Seth laughs softly before answering. "Let me guess, you're eager to know who your competition is?"

"No-I mean yes- sort of kind of." I say stumbling upon my words.

"Alright, well I have visited around ten to fifteen bakeries since going to yours." Seth says as he rests his on the back of the couch.

"So, were they just as good as mine? Or were they better?" I ask eagerly wanting to know.

Seth picks his head up before saying anything. "I would tell you Marie, but some stuff is classified information."

So much for trying to get some information on my competition. Anyways though, there was just this one question that I needed to ask Seth.

"Oh okay then. But could I just ask you this one question?" I ask him, hoping that he will say yes.

Seth takes a deep breath. "Alright, fine. But this is the last question you can ask me about the baking competition. I can get in trouble you know if I tell you more information."

Building up courage, I ask him the question that kept burning inside of me.

"By any chance have you been to that bakery that's across the street from mine? It's called Luke's Bakery." I ask Seth in hopes that Luke somehow got disqualified from the competition.

"Yeah, all three of us judges went to that bakery, just after stopping at yours." Seth says as he sits up on the couch.

"Oh, okay." I say back quickly.

Seth looks at me and gives me a weird look. "Why did you want to know? If I may ask." He asks getting suspicious of me.

Startled that he asked me that, I debated on whether or not to tell him why I asked that question.

If I tell him about my whole bakery war with Luke and how despise him, I could possibly get disqualified from the baking competition. Getting disqualified would also mean me losing to Luke. And I was not going to let that happen.

Trying to keep cool as a cucumber, I answer Seth in a casual tone of voice.

"I asked you that because I wanted to know what you thought about Luke's prices." I say coming up with a decent excuse.

"Oh, well in that case, his prices are outrageous!" Seth exclaims.

"I personally believe that he is overcharging all his baked goods." I say

"Yes, indeed he does." Seth agrees.

Me and Seth ended up talking for a half hour, until I told him that I would need to get home soon, so that I would be well rested for tomorrow's work at Bake City.
