A Few Days Later
It's been about five days since I last saw Luke. Nothing has really been going on in his bakery. I mean he does have customers coming in the bakery but he hasn't tried anything to get my customers to go to his bakery. I'm starting to think that he gave up but I'm still quite unsure. To be really honest I have been really bored at work, which is unusual. Normally I would be scrambling around the bakery trying to get orders filled.
Is it possible that this Bake war is giving me entertainment?
The Next Day
It is already 10:45 am and Bake City is starting to get packed. This was great I thought.
"Hey Marie! Could you please take over the counter while I go finish up frosting a new batch of those Red Velvet cupcakes?" Jen calls from the front of the bakery.
"Sure." I shout back.
I then walk up to the counter where the cash register was and then waited for a customer to have me ring up a pastry for them. While waiting I gazed out of the bakery's window.
Shockingly enough , I see Luke outside his bakery and he appeared to be waiting for someone. Before I knew it, a young woman comes up to him and hugs him close.
They ended up hugging for what seemed like forever. From watching them, I felt a little jealously come over me. I then realized I was jealous of that woman and the attention she was getting from Luke.
Do I have feelings for him? Before I could think more of it a man then approached the register with a pastry box in hand, waiting for me to ring up his pastries.
