“Nice video!” a random girl calls to me, sniggering. I don’t even know her!

Damn it! This has been happening the entire day! Shakila actually whipped off her jacket pretending to be me. I’ve never been so embarrassed in my life! I sort of wish everyone would see me as a prude again!

So raise your glass if you are wrong

In all the right ways

All my underdogs, we will never be, never be

Anything but loud

And nitty, gritty, dirty little freaks

My ringtone shakes me out of my reverie as I fumble around my pockets to get it. Incoming call from Logan Preston.

“Hey,” I murmur as normally as possible. “What’s up?”

“Nothing. I just wanted to check up on you. How’s school?” he asks sweetly.

I exhale slowly, making sure not to be too truthful. I lean against the lockers and close my eyes for a moment. “School’s fine,” I whisper.

The other line goes silent for a while, I actually have to check to make sure the call is still connected. “That bad, huh?” he murmurs after the pause.

“I said it’s fine,” I remind him with a weak smile on my face.

“And I’m your best friend. I know when you’re lying to me. Has the video made its way around school?”

“Uh huh,” I murmur, trying to keep a smile on my face. Logan always knows when I’m not smiling.

“That bad, huh? Well, keep your chin up, love! Just three more hours and school will be over. I’ll pick you up and we can go catch a movie and dinner, kay?” he offers.

“Thanks Lolo,” I whisper, quickly disconnecting the call.

Three more hours and I’m done for the day. I’ll just have to pray really hard that someone does something totally scandalous today so everyone will forget about the video of me!

I sigh loudly before heading into the Econs room, ready to get my ear talked off by Miss Elizabeth and her boring lecture. At least nobody can laugh at me with the teacher in class.

>>> After Econs >>>

As I walk through the corridors heading towards the Gym for final period, I notice everyone huddled up together.

Oh my god!

Did something happen?

Did someone do something so stupid that everyone is going to ignore me?

I cross my fingers at the thought but keep walking. The last thing I want to do is draw attention to myself. Besides, knowing my luck, there must be a facebook page for how lame I am by now. Shakila would be an admin, of course.

I groan inwardly at the thought. Somehow the thought of people being even more mean behind my back kind of hurts. I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve this kind of treatment. I’m like an outcast!

I’ve been nice to everyone! The only thing I did was date Shakila’s ex and almost strip at a party! Geez, everyone just needs to cut me some slack!

“Hey Faye,” Amanda, a senior, calls as she walks past me.

               “Hey?” I call back uncertainly.
