The red mustang pulls up to a stop a couple of feet in front of us and I can’t help but fidget a little.

Logan still thinks Ryder and I were kidding.

How exactly am I supposed to tell him that his older brother and I are going steady? He’ll freak out! He’ll throw a complete hissy fit!

“Just relax, will you?” Ryder whispers. But he looks a little apprehensive too.

I take a deep breath as Logan climbs out of his car, walking towards us.

“Hey guys! Good to know the both of you are still alive,” he teases, pulling me into a hug.

               “Hey Lolo,” I whisper sheepishly.

He immediately pulls back, looking at me curiously. “What is it you’re hiding from me?”

“Nothing Lolo, chill,” I mutter, dropping my gaze.

“Hey bro, Megs in the dining area,” Ryder offers.

Logan immediately gives up grilling me and head over to the dining area.

Phew!

               “You suck,” Ryder mutters, smirking.

“I can’t lie to him!” I moan, sitting down on the ground.

“I never said lie to him! Just stay calm, alright? Besides, we’re not lying to him. We already told him about us being together,” Ryder reasons, chucking his bag into the trunk. He helps me load mine in before leaning against the car, playing with my fingers absent mindedly.

“Look, I know we told him. But he thought we were kidding and we knew he did! Isn’t it kinda like lying to him?” I mumble, the guilt eating at me.

“Geez, my little brother really has you wrapped around his baby finger, huh?” Ryder teases.

“Ry, be serious! How do we tell him without him freaking out?” I ask softly.

“Here’s how not to tell him,” he whispers huskily, leaning in against him.

I roll my eyes at him and take a step back. “Do you mind?”

“Yes, I do actually. I haven’t kissed you today!” he mutters.

“Well, I’ll let you kiss me when you help me figure out when and how to tell him!” I huff, crossing my arms.

“You know what? There’s something I always wondered, why do girls like to cross their arms across their chest when they’re mad at a guy?” he suddenly asks.

“What?” I ask, completely caught –off-guard.

He gestures to my posture, his eyebrows raised.

               “I donno. It’s a defensive thing, I guess?” I try.

“Maybe. You do realise that when you girls do that, it only makes a guy stare at your chest, right?”

“What?! Ryder!” I hiss immediately dropping my hands.

He smirks at me before leaning in to kiss my nose.
